I am writing to share my recent experience with highlighting both a concerning interaction and exceptional service that deserves recognition. Recently, I called the surgery to trace a document that had not been sent via message. I discovered that the document was sent to an old phone number, despite having updated my contact details in person 2-3 months prior. During the call, I repeatedly informed the staff member that my number had been updated months ago. However, she insisted that her system showed the old number and did not acknowledge that the number might have been updated. What was particularly upsetting was the staff member's demeanour. She made me feel as though I was mistaken about updating my contact information. Despite having had multiple consultation appointments for myself and my children over the phone, and having sent doctor's picture uploads using my current number, she failed to take accountability for the system error. Instead of listening and apologising for the inconvenience caused, she made me feel as if my concerns were invalid. This experience indicates a need for additional training for the staff member in question. It is crucial for all staff to handle such situations with empathy and professionalism, acknowledging potential system errors and making patients feel heard and respected. On a positive note, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to 'this staff' who consistently provides exceptional customer service. She conducts herself with professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for patients. Her work ethic speaks volumes, and she is a true asset to your team. This review is long overdue recognition of her outstanding service to the public. Thank you a member of staff, you will know who you are, unfortunately, I wasn't able to leave your name and other staff members and doctors who take the time to listen and provide excellent care. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively to improve the overall patient experience at Strout’s place.

Our family was registered with Strouts Place Medical Centre for almost 2 years and I feel like we have received really good care. The GPs have been great, very kind and thorough, they call you within the day and try you twice so it is really convenient. I have had to have prescriptions done as an emergency during my pregnancy and the team of receptionists were really helpful in arranging this. We also had to register our newborn in emergency as he was unwell and the team arranged for us to see a GP within a couple of hours and registered our baby at the same time. So overall, very pleased with the care we have received from the GPs and with how the team helped us with urgent situations twice. Thank you for everything!

It's impossible to get in contact with them, they don't respond your emails, their online form is never answered and every time you're able to have them on the phone they're rude and unwilling to help. I've just been through a surgery this weekend and they're not even able to help me filling a fit to fly form on time, even though the clinician at the hospital stated pretty clear on my notes what needs to be done.

I have had to endure numerous phone calls and text consultations even when I said I could come in. Now I am on holiday and got a big red patch and am not back until two weeks and I called the clinic to speak to my GP and they said because I am overseas they won’t call. But it’s my same mobile number they would have to call and if I hadn’t told them I was overseas they wouldn’t even know! And so what if I am on a new years holiday I still am a patient in their clinic and pay my taxes to be so. I explained the GP could just call my regular number it makes no difference where I am and the receptionist refused to put me through or to log the call. It’s not the first time I had an unpleasant experience with this clinic they also never pick up the phone for ages and often have you waiting ages to see people. Just unpleasant and uncaring that’s for sure - I have been told by a docter where I am on a vacation I have shingles that’s why I called to see what my regular docter says and it’s pathetic but not unusual that this clinic won’t help. And when I get back they won’t just let me book an appointment they will make me wait for a phone consultation to then tell me to send pictures - which is what i can easily do now - it’s totally absurd

When I have call for the appointment call answering time minimum 30 minutes to hour after the take verification then the says call back tomorrow @ 8.30 there is no appointment available or I can send you link you can do by on line some time I have call 3to 4 days then I got n appointment today I have second days to call but not appointment she says I have call back tomorrow thank you for giving me this opportunity to say something

I called in and was given an appointment for 7/1/23 for a blood test at 9:45. I woke up and the practice is closed. Apparently no blood tests on the weekend. I desperately need to get tested and the reception here gave me an appointment on a day where the practice is closed! Absolutely ridiculous.
