At the practice today to see locum,the person was patronizing and asked accusing questions as to why l was there very unhelpful .The person interagatedme as to me as to why l was their I'm not easily offended but l know when I'm not being treated with respect I think this is the final straw as I've had problems with unsimpathetic reception staff in the past few years

Trying to get an appointment is shocking, I have a long history or chest issues but cannot get any medication for my asthma as I cannot get past the receptionists whos attitudes stink. GP alliance is a joke

We just wanted to pass on some feedback as Paramedic students with regards to the support of both GPs. We speak very highly of them both and the support that was offered to us whilst on placement. Both GPs welcomed us into their consultation rooms and no question or help required was too much trouble for them, even though they were both under extreme pressure themselves – they provided justification and explanation for answers to questions asked and encouraged learning from the students also. We would also like to add the welcomed help and support from Dr also. He always has time to answer any questions and does in such a way it develops learning. He also ensures that as a team we are all ok, regularly checking in on not only us but the extended team. He is a pleasure to work alongside and great asset to the team here at South Hylton.

Thank you for the excellent feedback. We are delighted that we have progressed to become a training practice for students and GP trainees. This can only be a good thing bringing new GPs into the area. Thank you for sharing your experience.

The practice has gone down since covid -19. Appointment system keeps changing. Now you’ve to complete a form to get a call back but I’ve had issues with no phone call back. When I called the practice I was given an appointment for 4 weeks later. Appointment system needs to improve, it’ll be useful if you could use the nhs app to book appointments

Dear Patient Thank you for your review, it is extremely difficult for the practice to resolve your concerns when this is posted anonymously. We would always advocated speaking to the practice for local resolution. Alliancecare was introduced in April 2017 and patient satisfaction has risen enormously. This system separates emergency, urgent and routine conditions. You can access Alliancecare through the NHS App, you can also come into the practice and the staff will support you with the completion of the online form and also over the telephone. We are encouraging as many patients as possible access Alliancecare online, this will allow phone lines to be freed for patients who are vulnerable and less able to complete the form. I’m a new patient to the practice, after reading numerous reviews, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be seen today. I got an appointment with the Paramedic who is now working on site within 30 minutes of calling. I really can’t fault any part of my care today and thank you to the reception team for getting me in so quickly.

I would like to say that I have seen the Paramedic today. She is a lovely person, very understanding and has a high level of empathy for her patients. I believe that she is an asset to our Practice and I hope that I can see her again should the need arise. Thank you
