We were very anxious when our 8 years old son developed a lump in his neck. The doctor took our anxiety and worries away from the first consultation by explaining to us that it was common reaction to his sore throat. She gave my son a course of antibiotics and offer us a follow up appointment. We have seen the doctor today to let her know what all problems my son has had in the past 10 day has now resolved. We are so happy and relieved Thank you Doctor for your professionalism and compassion. The parents

I feel that the current system of booking appointments using nhs apps, or link send by Practice or Doctor works for me. It works for me as I can complete and submit the questionnaire (symptoms) using nhs apps. The practice will review your request and send you an appointment book to be seen by a Doctor (within a week, or sooner depends on availability) or telephone appointment. (Usually same day) Also, I am able to select follow up appointment using the link send by doctor I can view the list of doctors and appointments available to book. The process of requesting repeat prescriptions is seamless using nhs app.

My original appointment was cancelled due to staff illness which cannot be helped at all. However, a phone appointed booked to replace this appointment I was told or heard 2.30pm a different time to the actual call happening, hence missed it. When I replied, I was then informed rudely by text the actual time my replacement appointment was booked, was 11.20am, which clearly differed from what I was told/heard, however, the GP still called 30 minutes after this alleged appointment time, at 11.47, so no ownership of poor communication or the fact they missed their own 11.20 alleged appointment. Loving the fact the text implied it was all my fault nice, bullying and enabling barriers to people accessing health care for vulnerable adults living with neurodiversity and bipolar

I consulted/seen by a GP for indigestion symptoms (experiencing more than 3 weeks). She was extremely thorough as She checked if I have had other symptoms. (Noted, she prepare her own notes before seeing me) She was aware (checked my record) that I did present with indigestion symptoms in Aug 2020. It was being investigated and it resolved itself without medication. She did ask for my permission for examination and tests. She prescribed medication which help. Also, she advised me to book a follow up appointment when all the test results were back. I always have good/great service at Surrey Dock Health Centre over the years.

Told to go to urgent care or A&E as no appointments available. Never any appointments available in under a week, even if the problem is urgent and easily solved. Even a telephone consultation is two days. Use to be a great GP practice now the phone staff at the hub are rude, uncaring often leave me in tears. Today I was offered a different practice which is two bus journeys for me. This is difficult for me to do, when explaining that to the call centre staff I was shouted at and told that they can't magic appointments and asked what I wanted them to do. Which is completely unprofessional and rude, what I can imagine most people want is to have an appointment at the practice they registered with!

Today it is the third time in few weeks that I am given a telephone appointment but then I don’t receive any calls from the GP. After the second incident I went in person to the GP practice to flag the potential issue with their system, but I was just dismissed by the personnel at the reception, as they kept assuming that I missed the call because I wasn’t next to my phone or I didn’t turn my ringtone on. This was despite showing them the lack of missed calls in my phone. I had to reschedule a third appointment by phone for today, but exactly like the first two times I haven’t received any calls despite spending half day next to my phone. I have been waiting to speak with a GP since August 20, this is unacceptable.

I sent a treatment query on Wednesday and received a link to book a face to face appointment within half an hour. You were able to choose from between 10 different GPs and then see their availability. I opted for any GP and was able to book an appointment for only two days later. Its a lovely practice and very modern. Once I was there my GP was super professional and caring. I felt that they were in no rush to finish our appointment and had all the time they needed. Follow up appointment was booked on the spot with the same GP rather than having to go through another mechanism such as through reception or calling up. I'm very happy with my experience and am amazed at the level of availibility.

You can never ever get through to anyone and when you do, it feels like they enjoy being rude or unhelpful even if you have done everything you were supposed to do online first to save the pain of having to wait 20 minutes to get through to someone.

Recently, I have had the most positive experiences at the Surrey Docks clinic. I have been treated by A nurse during one visit and then Doctor for a separate issue and visit . I believe both practitioners to be of the highest quality - they are very thorough , caring, kind and highly knowledgable of their respective disciplines. In particular, Doctor saw me on the very challenging morning of the world-wide computer melt down. She noted all the complexities of my situation manually on paper, was very concerned that my referral would not slip through the broken technological cracks and assured me she would follow -up with me in 4 days time. She did exactly that and has moved my referral through the system. During both visits I was confident of the care I received at Surrey Docks. I would also like to add the front office staff go the extra mile in helping sort out the usual NHS paperwork. They also are really on top of their game. Thanks everyone!

Cannot call surgery directly anymore. Had to go through the Nexus Hub - insisted I had to fill-in a form online which I couldn't do. They did it - told me it had been sent to my surgery and to wait for a message. I got a text saying I had to call Nexus or fill in online form to get a doc to call me. I called and was told to fill in an online form again! I couldn't so the nexus rep did it for me and told me the doc would call me next week! absolutely broken system - I had to plead with this person to get a doctor to call me back today. it fills me with dread to get ill and have to go through this appalling service just to speak to a doctor. in all, it took from calling Nexus to receiving a call from the doc just over 5 hours - disgusting. This system does not work.
