    Following a recent seizure on holiday, I had a follow up appointment on 4/2/2025 at 10am. The GP I saw was professional, courteous and thorough and I felt that my rather complex issue was managed neatly and efficiently. I felt listened to and left satisfied with the outcome of my appointment.

    I had a appointment regarding back problems with the Phisio and she was utterly amazing lots of questions and a physical examination which is virtually very rear these days I have had lots of Phisio in the past this appointment really educated me in what I should do she has recommended further treatment I have also visited a Doctor in January re feet problem what a Doctor Receptionists are wonderful for all three 10/10

    Appointment time not honoured and with no communication nor apology. Seems like patient time is not seen as having any value. Was seen 20 minutes late and there was no patient before. Very poor.

    I saw Dr today at 1.15pm. I was concerned about discomfort and pain associated with my diagnosis of diveticular disease. Dr listened and he drew diagrams to explain the illness, he took my blood pressure and temperature. He then examined my abdomen, at all times he was kind and reassuring. Dr was knowledgeable and professional and I felt reassured and confident by his explanation and treatment plan. He is an asset to the practice. I was grateful to be seen by this GP today

    Booked online and was phoned by doctor 10 minutes later with an appointment an hour later. Seen by doctor and diagnosed and prescription sent to chemist . Quick and efficient.

    Annual health review today. Great nurse and dealt with an outstanding admin on the front desk. Young lady was outstanding. Dealt with an awkward client in front of me with patience, courtesy and a smile.

You are a credit to your practise and I am so delighted to have received some proper attention and care from a doctor as I haven’t received this dedication recently from other medical practises.     I was extremly impressed by Leyhill surgery. Never been there before but would choose there again if required. Lovely pleasant professional receptionist, & the nurse practitioner was very helpful,professional and efficient. The surgery was very clean with a nice seating area & parking was easy. Thank you everyone.

    I received my flu jab on Saturday 7th September 2024 (lunchtime) at Ley Hill Surgery, from a member of the HCA and Phlebotomist Team. The staff member had a wonderful, kind, manner, took the time to reassure me, talked me through the side effects and genuinely took an interest. A credit to the surgery. Thank you for providing such a caring service.

  10. Review titled Problems with online booking system and in person appointments

    The online booking system appointment that is for all the SCGP sites needs a rethink or improvement with patient/staff input perhaps. There is scant information on the online page to help people using it. I have tried to use it for the first time and failed. You may be using it at a time when you are in need of an appointment and you may fail if you do not fit the drop down menu criteria. Your ailment or request may not be listed for you to prepopulate in the form, and you will struggle to proceed with a booking because of this. There is no "free type" option, and you are, asked to answer honestly a series of questions about your condition - answer "no" and it may stop you proceeding, as I have found. It is also only available to use until 12noon. In person requests for an appointment at reception in person it can be a problem. Receptionists will often say "there is nothing available" or "The Drs diary has not been uploaded." If you ask when will it be updated the reply is"I don't know" so you can't get an idea as to when bookings generally become available to try again. It is unbelievably frustrating, and as a customer of the practice you would expect an explanation and solution. Triage by all means - but this month my experience has been incredibly frustrating when I'm asked in a txt message by a Dr to book a Review appointment with a Dr - and I struggled in person and online. As a patient you need to understand how an appointment system works in order to have a chance to be successful in obtaining one within the next month. These are basic requirements in order to face a chance of obtaining medical help at your Surgery. There seems a disconnect between Patient need and I. T system design, or Surgery practice need at the front end. We are people, human beings with ailments, ongoing conditions and many are, worried about our conditions. I'm sure the Reception staff must be as frustrated as the patients, if so I hope they voice their concerns. This system was changed in Dec 2023 I read in a leaflet in the, Surgery. I have tried to use it Aug 2024 and failed. You cannot use the, NHS App to book SCGP appointments, you cannot use Symtonline either, only the Group Practice website. You can queue up at 8 am outside, or try to phone - but it seems the vast majority of bookings go early and first thing. I do not visit the Surgery often with requests for appointments, so perhaps I am not "in the know"about how it works. I didn't need a same day appointment, it wasn't an emergency - but it was something I needed to get done. I had to try another route ( suggested by Reception) to try to get an appointment. Which will be by phone with a Dr it seems. I was left unhappy, by the callback from person telling me this, their curtness and tone of voice was unnecessary. Sadly I didn't take their name, I was so gobsmacked. I can only imagine the person was as frustrated by the, appointment system as I am to behave like that. I await my phone appointment.
