Review titled Extremely unlikely
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ahmed Saad - Posted on 20 June 2024
I am extremely dissatisfied with the care provided by Suttons Wharf Health Centre, I have had a serious issue with my red blood cells since 2017, as shown in multiple blood tests, but my concerns have been persistently ignored by this practice. Despite suffering from severe headaches and other symptoms, and providing my previous medical records, the centre has failed to integrate these crucial documents into my NHS records. The receptionist neglected to add my old blood test results, which include evidence of kidney function problems and high blood sugar. Attempts to secure an appointment have been futile, as I am consistently told that no appointments are available. Additionally, I was advised to donate blood as part of my treatment plan, but the blood donation centre requires approval from my GP, which has not been provided despite multiple requests. This lack of response and disregard for my health has left me without the necessary medical guidance and has significantly impacted my well-being. I would not recommend Suttons Wharf Health Centre due to their negligence and poor patient care.

Review titled Shocking

GI had a blood test in December 2023. Got told over the phone 2 weeks ago I have kidney disease. I had another blood test 2 weeks ago to see the current state of play because of the time that has passed. I called for the results yesterday and was told i needed a health check for people on lifetime medication. I haven't even had a proper conversation about the diagnosis and medication has not been mentioned to me! I asked if she was looking at the correct medical records. The appointment booking system is designed to prevent people from getting an appointment. What do I do now?????

Review titled Thank you for such good care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sally Anne Smith - Posted on 17 March 2024
I want to thank the practice for the help they gave me when I needed it. I had a recurrence of two chronic health issues which could have resulted in considerable negative impact on my health and wellbeing. Thanks to the efficient and timely and appropriate care the GP provided, I am now getting much better. Thank you so much

Review titled Worst practise.

The staff on the phone are rude and impatient, after staying on the line for 43 mins this morning and finally getting through, I had been on mute due to the long waiting time and the woman said hello and in less than 2 seconds before I unmuted myself and said hello she ended the phone sighing. So inconsiderate to the fact that I rang first thing this morning to sit on the phone for 45 mins!!!! I have had similar problem most times I ring Suttons Wharf, the staff are so rude and snappy, it is not good customer service at all and they should either get new staff or better training. For people ringing up to talk about health conditions worrying them, this is very discouraging. Not to mention the fact it is impossible to get an appointment here even when ringing 8am in morning.

Review titled Terrible appointment booking service
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Still trying to get an appointment, seems impossible either by phoning or using the stupidly complicated and intrusive booking service. Therefore can't comment on GP as its so difficult, inconvenient and time consuming to make the initial appointment.

Review titled Terrible appointment system
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Confusing and useless appointment system if you try and get an appointment by phone. There is an obvious concerted effort to force people onto their online booking system which doesn't suit everyone. Receptionists sound unprofessional and are unhelpful.

Review titled Efficient service
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Chris - Posted on 24 March 2023
I'm lucky enough not to see a GP regularly, but having read about the chronic state of the NHS, I was slightly dreading having to book to see a doctor. I was actually pretty impressed - the online booking system was efficient and I was surprised to be able to see a doctor in less than a week of booking. There was a small amount of waiting for the actual appointment, but the building is pretty spacious and there's good outside space. They also tell you when you arrive (on screen) how late the GP is going to be, so you can go for a walk or whatever. The GP I saw was very polite, a good listener, was expert and didn't rush me. To me the whole process seemed efficient and I was pleasantly surprised.

Review titled Worst practice ever
Rated 1 star out of 5

You are told to call, or log a e consult form from the website. however e-consult is full by 8.01am when it's open from 8am. you call and are told no appointments available for the day, it really frustrating and the reception staff ask to many details about the condition which i am not happy to discuss. if you are given a hub telephone appointment you are than told for the condition you need a face to face appointment, but you can book one, what do you do. staff are rude and don't understand that patient would not call the GP practice unless the were concerned about their health or the health of family members. i have gone to the practice and can't see a single patient waiting to be seen. so why are appointment not available. the practice is getting worse day by day and i would suggest people look for another practice.

Review titled Always listening
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Martin - Posted on 13 February 2023
My most recent experience of this GP practice is no different to any other occasion that I have needed to see them for an issue. I have a very embarrassing situation and the GP was kind and professional and listened to my concerns. I am undertaking preliminary tests now and am very grateful for the compassion of this practice.
