  2. Review titled Dismissive

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 April 2024

I understand reception staff being dismissive due to selecting who needs the appointments and prioritising. However, I was not expecting my GP to be so dismissive. I had taken photos, timelines about my issues. Trying to explain to him what had happen and he was dismissive. I had previously discussed some concerns with friends, leading me to decide whether it needed to be checked with a GP. I had told the GP of this to which their response was "They're not Doctors". I understood this, i explained it's why I wanted to speak to a Doctor to have this confirmed, my illness was putting alot of stress on my worklife, he then proceeded to ask me " Was it necessary for me to come in?". This pressure caused me to cry, he was unable to read my pulse and told me to calm down, and that he had other patients to see. The whole experience was distressing. Later (after being sent to A and E) it resulted in them confirming my allergy that I was suspicious of and they really listened. I respect that they're busy and my friends are not doctors, but my body felt different and something was actually wrong (confirmed later). I felt so stupid for going and cried so much after, I do struggle with bad anxiety and just wanted to be listened to.

  3. Review titled Absolute joke of a place

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 June 2023

This place is a joke, my grandad is in pain and need of an appointment, the receptionist tells my nan that he can only have a telephone appointment - why is it that every time you ring up, you get interrogated by a receptionist, it’s not their job to decide on what kind of appointment someone wants - they should stick to their job of answering the phones to book appointments that people want and to do other admin duties. If a patient wants to see the doctor, then that’s what should be booked. End of story. I’m getting sick to death of hearing of incidents where my grandparents have called up this surgery and they’re being fobbed off by a receptionist with as many medical qualifications as my dog.

  4. Review titled Why are there still no online appointments

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2023

There are still no appointments available to book online and it has been like this since March 2020. Why is this? I understood when we were going through Covid but in 2023? Having to phone and being constantly told no dates have gone on yet is so frustrating. When some are available you have to wait for the receptionist to offer you what the surgery wants - not what you want. If you ask for something different you feel like a nuisance. It was much better when you could see what was available and choose accordingly. Also you only get a telephone call now, not face to face.
