    Today is day 3 of trying to complete something simple through my GP. I am joining Slimming World to help with my current and future health as by BMI is in excess of 35 and my blood pressure is high and controlled through medication. Anyway, my Slimming World group have advised me that I can get a referral from my GP to receive a 100% subsidy to my weekly subscription and this can be done quickly via an eConsult. Unfortunately, I am now on day 3 of trying to do this, and on every attempt (just as the clock turns to 3.30pm), the system said that there are no GP appointments and that online consultations are currently unavailable. This is extremely poor, yet their website says they're accepting new patients, yet they can't provide a service to the existing ones. I can see why people go straight to A&E as the local GPs are not able to accommodate their existing patients. To make matters worse, all the local GPS are part of the same group, so there is no other choice.

    Having attended a health check, I was asked to have my blood pressure reading taken within 10 minutes of a 7 mile freezing cold walk to the Surgery in the rain. This would almost certainly have given a false high reading which would have resulted in a prescription for worthless drugs to remedy a problem that doesn't exist.

    Just wanted to leave some positive words and feedback and to let others know that Swanscombe Health Centre is a great practice. I am new to the area and I found the registering process with Swanscombe Health Centre very easy, the actual time it took to get me registered by the practice was well below the stated times and then registering and being set up with Patient Access was also incredibly fast. Then having my prior repeat prescriptions added was easy and the communication with the prescriptions team was very helpful and they were awesome. I then had a new patient medication review and the doctor was great. Overall my exprience has been great and I would to take this opportunity to make sure others are aware of how well this practice is managed, and the staff are great.

    It is a very long waiting time to answer the phone, I use the online services but as I couldn't book an appointment online tried to contact you by phone, and took nearly 40-50 minutes before I could talk to anyone.
