Returning for our child’s 1yr injections and cannot fault the service. Always the same nurse, always remembers us and any issues we may have had. Always so friendly and informative and puts us at complete ease each time. Cannot fault the service.

Really bad experience, never had that kind of service ever. My husband called surgery in early February for our 3 year old son as he was having high fever and we were told call 111 as no appointment available for today or take your child to Urgent treatment centre. We called 111 they said your GP has right to care as your surgery is still open ask them to see now ,you can’t call out of ours if your surgery is open. Called surgery again at around 5:30pm and told they need to see as told by 111. Receptionist put my husband on hold for 5-7 minutes while my son was shivering due to high temperature and complaining about stomach pain continuously, Receptionist came back and said doctor can’t see now he is busy doing some admin work. Seriously, worst surgery ever. We waited till 6:30 pm to be out of hours and called 111 again and then went to urgent treatment centre. Another incident happened on recently again, when a call back was promised but never happened. On following up one guy told that you are still in queue, second follow call we were told that 2 calls were made but that never happened. I had the phone in my hand all the time and don’t pick up any call as expecting the call from GP. Went into the GP and was told that no call has been made to you yet, another person told me that one call was made at 09:19 way before the appointment time of 09:40 am. Which never happened. So I was given 3 different versions of call back, seems all dodgy. Can’t trust the people at this survey, very unhappy with the service.

I have nothing but praise for this surgery. Everyone is on the ball knows their job well. Especially the mental health nurse who is very understanding and supportive. So nice to have a surgery who knows what they are doing.

The surgery rang me to book my sons first vaccination. I explained I am at my mums who was helping me post partum and would need to travel back for his vaccination. The receptionist booked my son in and when I arrived on the day they had cancelled his appointment without giving any notice and when I asked the reason why it was because he was too young to have it and I should come back next week. I raised the issue with the receptionist at the time as to why I was given then appointment as I had made it clear on the phone that I’m travelling 2 hours with a one month old to come back for his vaccination. The receptionist couldn’t care less and spoke to me in a rude tone and was unsympathetic and told me that it’s not thier issue. A nurse who was walking pass heard the conversation and apologised to me and said they would be looking into this and speaking to the person who had booked me in. It’s appalling the manner in which the receptionists treat the patients even when you have no fault of your own and turn up to your appointment as normal. The staff make mistakes we are all human at the end of the day but to be treated rudely instead of reviving an apology from the receptionist that the nurse has to step in. Even all the patients who had heard the conversation was asking if I was okay and if I needed any help as they could see and hear everything. Avoid like a plague the receptionists are rude and everytime you call for an appointment they have nothing available and when you do turn up for a routine appointment it gets cancelled due to lack of staff training and knowledge.
