    Took over an hour to get through in the morning to be told there are no appointments available even though I have tonsillitis with a fever, it took for my chemist to email them that I need to be seen to get antibiotics and even then they were reluctant to give me an appointment and was gonna make me call the next morning. They also never have any appointments available online and the receptionist can be quite rude when trying to get an appointment or they use a new protocol to assess your needs when there isn’t any available appointments which just ends up them suggesting you call 999 for an ambulance for non a&e illnesses like sinusitis.

    Dear Patient, I'm sorry to hear that our team did not meet your expectations. We highly value all feedback from patients and use this to learn from errors or instances where communications and patient encounters have not been to our patient's satisfaction. We are very disappointed with the difficulty you described trying to get through the practice via the telephone and getting appointments. We have extra staff during our busiest times to improve our telephone pick up time. We are also, constantly working with our reception team to improve our quality of service and your feedback referencing reception attitude will be used as part of our regular staff training. To understand and make improvements we recommend you contact the practice with your details so we can investigate this further.     I have been a patient at Tamworth House Medical Practice for over 19 years and writing this review is a proper indicator of my dissatisfactory experience at the hands of a gp. She's a one of the long-serving gp [s] and her visible intolerance and impatience was dumbfounding. Bear in mind, I have been unable to get an appointment in real time for weeks. I was finally able to pre-booked one to arrive in a 2 weeks' time slot, at which time while waiting for my appointment, I ended up in a&e. Then a day later, my symptoms returned and I took time off work to attend my booked appointment. During the consultation, this gp interrupted me the whole without listening, she did not examine me and when I tried to update her on how my symptoms had alarmingly changed, since my visit to a&e with pink- urine which was now blood in my stool. She insisted that a&e had nil results. She went ahead to prescribe indigestion medication based on her assumption! Thanks to a very discerning receptionist who saw how upset I was, I was able to see another gp and I am waiting for results. So, I would recommend this Surgery, however, I would warn them not to consult with this particular gp.

    The whole team at the practice is really helpful and thorough in caring for patients and in follow-up. The admin staff are welcoming and efficient, and the doctors very attentive. The practice accommodation is well laid out and convenient, with parking and with a chemist next door. Highly recommended.

    I newly transferred to this practice. I have found every member of staff diligent and helpful. They helped discover my cancer and set me on the right path. My gratitude knows no bounds for this care.

    Very helpful on the telephone, arranging to see the Doctor, or telephone consultation. I found the stall at reception very pleasant .l only joined this practice 6 months ago, very impressed.

    I have been very happy with Tamworth House surgery. The staff have been helpful and efficient, and the doctors very caring. The follow up for appointments and other services has been very thorough. I have always been able to have a suitable appointment and the chemist nearby is very convenient. The location and parking are very good. Highly recommended.

    Tamworth House Medical Practise provides a great service and I have no complaints whatsoever. The receptionists have always treated me well. They always answer the phone in a timely manner when the NHS is under extreme pressure. They are polite and respectful and do whatever is possible. I was recently referred to WideWay Hub same day appointment which suited me perfectly and not very far I didn’t have to take time off from work. Perfect. The Doctors are great to. Never had a problem with them. Great listening and communication skills. I really can’t say one bad word about the service

    If/when I have been seen by the drs last few month the drs are good they listen to you and like dr in this morning she was brilliant!!! She explains everything and you can see she does it from the heart

    I just find it so difficult to make appointments with the surgery. As a mum of two small children, trying to call at 8am on school run is nearly impossible. No one answers half the time anyway. I cannot book a routine appointment online. The service never seems to work for myself, and I cannot book for my kids. I was told by a receptionist to go to the front reception desk to ensure I get an appointment at 8 am. My child starts at 8:30, so again on a school run this is very difficult. Even during the day, I have tried to call Tamworth for my daughters MMR booster jab, which they text me about. I cannot get through for the life of me. Honestly, it's ridiculous. I have had issues previously with this GP pre-pandemic and now it's become even worse. It just feels like they just do not care about their patients.

    Dear Patient, I am so sorry you’ve had a negative experience with our surgery. This is not the experience we would want any of our patients to have and we would like to look into this further to determine what has gone wrong here. As a practice we highly value all feedback from patients and use this to improve patient care and overall experience. We understand how difficult it can be for patients to be available due to work, family or other commitments and hence we offer extra routine appointments on Tuesdays 7 am – 8 am and Wednesdays 5.00 pm – 8.00pm. Our telephone system has a call back function. Some patients find this helpful as they do not have to wait on the phone for a long time to speak to staff. I am unable to address you personally as you have posted anonymously. Please do leave me a message on the practice website. I will be more than happy to discuss your experience in more detail to understand where our service has gone wrong for you. We always strive to provide the best possible service to our patients, and I am very sorry you do not feel that you have received an acceptable level of service from us.
