  1. Review titled Rude service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 March 2024

I was recommended through 111 to talk to this health centre about some pain I had been having. And the person on the phone was so rude and dismissive about everything and made it seem like I was a nuisance. How on earth can you act like doing your job is such an unreasonable thing to ask of you to do. It was the person on the phones job to provide me with good health care instead they left me with a hostile feeling whilst also being in pain. This is ridiculous how can you call yourself healthcare providers when you treat people who come to you for help like this. You take away from the whole image of being good healthcare providers once you start to treat people like this. And also did not even provide me with a good solution for the pain that I’m in. Do better please

  2. Review titled Virtually impossible to get through to the GP practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2024

Today, and on several occasions last month, it is is becoming increasingly impossible to get through to this GP practice, and if you ever manage to get a Web request (after many weeks of trying), sometimes the requests are immediately closed without proper process (I.e. they say they've tried to message you and they haven't). I would not recommend this GP surgery because patients need to be able to get in touch and inform them about changes in health and there is currently no easy way to do this. It is ridiculous .

  3. Review titled Unable to make doctor appointment and no 'call back'

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Fit Senior - Posted on 13 March 2024

This is my registered practice. I have been a member of this practice for years but rarely ill. Worryingly, on the occasions when I need to see a doctor I am unable to, because I cannot make an appointment. I recently tried for a over week to make an appointment to see a doctor. I was quite concerned about my health: I had a cold, and had been advised by my respiratory consultant, to ensure I had antibiotic cover if I had a cold, to minimise the risk of a more serious condition developing. But, logging into the App between 0800-0900 to book appointment, as directed - I either get a notification that 'there were no further appointments' (at 0810hrs? Really?) or that the booking App - was unavailable. On three separate days I opted for a call back - and expected to be called within two working days, as stated. I have not has a call back. It is misleading and frustrating to promoting a service and then do not honour it. I eventually went into the surgery, wondering if I had not set up the App correctly, and---was redirected to the App and 111. I was also told that there were 'staff shortages' that week - surely in this technological age something could have been done to communicate this via the App and advise of options. Basically, from where I am standing, this appointment system is not working. I have no issues with self booking appointments - but the appointments need to be there to be booked. Perhaps there need to separate non-urgent appointment that could be booked in advance and, crucially, outside 8-9am. If a 'call-back system' is offered. Then call back - at the very least I will be reassured that my request for call back has been made. Rather than being left in the dark, wondering.

  5. Review titled Impossible to get appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Stuart Lockyear - Posted on 21 February 2024

Have been with Tessa Jowell (including former iteration) for 10 years. Despite having severe asthma episodes this week I was unable to get an appointment at all over a 6 day period. Urgent telephone line is not answered and call back service does not result in a call back. Changed GP practice this morning and got a same day appointment elsewhere. They should be shut down.

  6. Review titled Shockingly, unable to secure an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 February 2024

Urgently need a fit note, dont need to see anyone, policy is I still need an appointment. Visited the evergreen appointment booking system on 6th February. All appointments released at 8:00am, were no longer available by 8:11am. Evergreen site advises patience to return back to the site the following day at 8:00am. waited 24 hours, returned back to the evergreen website on 7th February. by 8:15am, all appointments are taken. My fit note, expires today and I need another fit note. I call the surgery. After several minutes of waiting, the the call is disconnected by the surgery. I make several more attempts to call, but the call is not going through. After several more calls, I am back in the que again. I wait 20 - 25 minutes, the call is not answered, so i take up the option available of pressing one for a call back. I wait an hour and receive no call back :( I call the surgery again, I am connected pretty much instantly to a staff member. I complain, and highlight my experiences. Reception staff apologies, and direct me to go back online again tomorrow. I request to speak to the practice manager, advised no one is in the building. Provided with a email to complaint. Day three, and by this time I have not slept all night, worrying how i am going to secure a fit note for work. at 7:45am, i have my phone fully charge, and I have the evergreen gp website open. I see there are 14 clinical staff working today, many of whom are GP's. After exactly 8:00am, the website releases its daily appointments. Success, I finally manage after day three to request a fit note. I have no idea how long it will take to action, as I need this certificate today for my employer. I notice at 8:05am, the appointments for today are already withdrawn for today. Patience have been provided with five minutes only to book an appointment before being referred to contact the surgery again tomorrow. I check the Tessa Jowell website, I see no information they are experiencing staffing issues. I have found trying to arrange an appointment, deeply frustrating and upsetting, and something that patience do not need to experience, especially when feeling unwell. There is clearly an issue with arranging appointments with this GP service

  7. Review titled Impossible situation

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2024

I am in an impossible situation when it comes to getting appointments. I know I need a CT scan on my liver, the practice have made it completely impossible. Even though they have all the info they need, I need to book an appt with a GP to do it...the app they use has never had appts available to me, therefore I have to call. I call at 8am and in the end have to put phone down 45 minutes later to take my kids into school. I request the call back- they call back an hour later and say all appts are gone and I need to call the folllowing morning. And so we go on. At what point do they change it? How sick do people need to get? The reception staff sound completely disinterested- probably because they hear this every day. Completely broken system. I end the call in tears because it is so highly frustrating to not be able to just get one appt to ask for a scan. You feel so insignificant and powerless to the situation.

  8. Review titled Appointment system

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by c j clack - Posted on 14 February 2024

The surgery has for a long time encourage the online system. But i fear it has become a way of fending off patients rather then deal with them. The lack of GPs seems to be the big problem. the system itself is bonkers . we are told to get and use the evergreen life app but it does not work for our surgery to book appointments and you then end up being directed down the ask my GP app anyway. lately the appointment system has been allowing 1minute to login and write something. it drops out if you have not finished in time. this happened to me yesterday. I then rang the surgery the message then of course tells you to use the evergreen life app (which does not work for appointments) or hang on and wait , I waited but eventually opted for a return call, no one every called me back. I also feel the surgery is very bad at continuity of care, if you have a medical problem it feels like your always starting again with it , and seems impossible to resolve. this may be to a lack of consistent supply of regular GPs

  9. Review titled Cant make a simple appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 February 2024

This practice encourages the arrangement of appointments online. Appointment slots are only released from 8am daily, and there is no option to arrangement appoints in advance. Log onto the Evergreen platform and at 8:11am, all appointments have not been taken for the day. Advised i now need to log back on tomorrow. So frustrating as I need a site note for work :(

  10. Review titled Evergreen app should be abandoned

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2024

I am under 40 and use computers all day, every day, for every aspect of my life. I can honestly say I have never encountered a worse system than the Evergreen Life app. It is incomprehensible and inhumane. If it’s unfathomable to someone who’s computer literate and younger, I really fear for its impact on vulnerable patients with the greatest need. You deal with an impersonal app and, if you’re lucky, you get an email or call back, but rarely get to see an actual GP or get in-person care. The app, and the surgery by extension, is failing patients.
