  1. Review titled Waiting time on the phone is horrendous

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Kinny - Posted on 05 October 2023

Phoned today for repeat prescription (usually do it online but forgot the dosage ) when I phoned I was no:3 in the queue , after 15 minutes I was no:1. 45 minutes later I was still no:1 !!!!!!. Why am I waiting so long if I’m next in the queue ???? When the receptionist finally answered she gave no apology for the long waiting time …. Totally not acceptable !!!

  2. Review titled Absolutely terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Doctor said 2 days ago he was sending medication to pharmacy (pain meds) he never did! spoke to receptionist today who said it is NHS policy for every patient to have blood tests every 6 months so can’t send prescription until they are done (I’ve got sciatica) so I’m going to be in pain can hardly walk let alone go for blood tests that I don’t need!! Asked to talk to doctor or pharmacist or manager and the receptionist told me no one in!!! Absolute joke!! No kindness or compassion what so ever!!!!

  3. Review titled Absolutely awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

I would recommend staying away from this practice. Being registered here has caused me so much grief and delay in recovery. I cannot believe how badly they treat their patients, they never answer the phone, yesterday I was on hold for two hours and 15 mins and eventually hung up. My letters from my neurologist are ignored, my medication for epilepsy was affecting my long-term health and their refusal to correspond with my neurologist has left me staying on unsafe medication for much longer than necessary. They are so rude on the phone and in person and have made me cry. My prescriptions are approved but then never sent to the actual pharmacy, and so many times I have had to order through 111 because of their incompetency. I can't wait to get out of there! Do not register here.

  4. Review titled Terrible, gone downhill

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rebekah Watts - Posted on 11 September 2023

I have been given a repeat prescription yet every time I ask to collect the medication I’m made to wait days for the correct dose which leaves gaps between my prescription and severely delays my recovery. Sort it out!

Dear Rebekah, Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you've encountered with your prescription. To clarify, we do require 48 hours to process repeat prescriptions to ensure everything is accurate and ready for collection. However, if the medication is not on your repeat list or there is a change to your prescription dosage, it may take a bit longer as it might require approval from a doctor, which could also involve a brief consultation. Additionally, once the prescription is ready on our end, your pharmacy may also need additional time to process and prepare your medication for collection. We understand how crucial it is for you to receive your medications on time, and we are working closely with our team and local pharmacies to minimize any delays. If you ever experience issues in the future, please don't hesitate to reach us on our email: acorn.surgery@nhs.net , so we can assist you directly. Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate your patience.
