    You can’t get help when you need it - feel so let down. We only contact the GP when we really need help and they are just not there to reply on time. They have lost so many econsults, have to keep chasing them for a response. Often they contact you to book an appointment in 2 weeks - so have to just go through 111 for a resolution. I complained to the practice manager as they lost multiple econsults for my children and they said they would ‘investigate’, still haven’t heard back. So dangerous! Such poor access to a doctor, my children have only ever been seen by a nurse practitioner - which I have sometimes found has been incompetent at a proper assessment (ie doing basic observations). Doctors are ok/good when you finally get to see them but access is impossible. You can be waiting for 35 minutes just to speak to an advisor. Often it’s easier to go to the practice and queue up. We’re looking for a new practice, when you’re sick, this practice is not the one to rely one!

    I’ve ’gone private’ and solved my problem (lovely service from sameday doctors in canary wharf). After considerable faffing around I was offered a telephone appointment in 5 weeks time from the Barkentine. What use is that? I haven’t actually seen ‘my gp’ (whatever that means these days) for at least two years. Useless, as I said.

    I texted the surgery at 9.30 am and had an appointment with a doctor at noon. I was taken on time and Dr took her time to examine me thoroughly and listened to my concerns. I have been with the practice for many years and this is a great improvement. Thank you for everything you do.

    With the new system it’s very difficult to get an appointment when you need one. I have given few appointments by GP but no one bothered to call, I waited hours but no call. I have given my blood pressure reading for 4 days online and received a message saying I will have a call back but never received one. Not really sure what actually happened with the GP now it’s completely a joke.

    Nearly impossible to get any service, advise or even talk to admin assistant at this practice. Over the years it became worst and worst. Even to order a simple medication I only have a 10min window to call in the morning. Online services are also useless. No option to submit your request through online form. Now I'm trying to order anti-anxiety for upcoming flights and have no idea if I can get on time. Last time it took me over two weeks.. I wonder what do I pay taxes for! Very frustrating and worrying.

    The recently implemented booking system is horrible. Impossible to get an appointment even after staying on the phone for hours. Keeps getting worse and worse.

    Hello, May I congratulate you on implementing a new booking system for your practise. Having had a need to use it last week, I found it to be very efficient, user friendly and easy to book an appointment and see a doctor. Well done, and your staff were brilliant as usual. On another note, is there any progress with my application for a disabled a parking permit as at the moment I am having difficulty Walking. 16-01-1943

    I am still in unbearable pain & have been trying to book an appointment to see Dr to give me steroids injection since February but no success, I have just been told to call in on the 15th of April now to see if anything is available.. the most unpleasant is the service called PALS who deal with complaints have also been ignoring me, we understand that the local surgeries cannot cope any longer with overwhelming patients anymore but I’m sure NHS knew that from the beginning that we will be facing this situation when thousands of patients will have to rely on a few Doctors at the Isle of Dogs..

    Since Covid, getting an in-person appointment at the Barkantine has been extremely difficult and frustrating, with long waits even for a return phone call. However, I am finding the new appointment system a great improvement. Last week I rang, opted for a call-back and got a text saying I was 67 in the queue. Much to my astonishment, I got a call-back at lunchtime and an appointment for later in the week. The link in the text gives you your queue position every time you refresh - very helpful. Today, I put in an urgent e-consult and got a call back and an appointment this afternoon with a nurse who referred me for an X-ray. I hope this is working as well for everyone.
