    I’m writing this review here in the hope that the practice manager takes these reviews seriously. The reception staff are extremely rude on the phone at this surgery! I called up at 6:20pm as I had just popped into my pharmacy to collect a prescription my GP said she had sent two days ago. The pharmacy did not have any details of it, so I called the Beaumont ASAP to see if they could help. Man on the reception looked at my notes and said “there was no discussion of a prescription for you”. I told him there was and that the GP described in detail which medication I would be prescribed and where, and asked if he could talk to the doctor about it. His response was “no I can’t because we’re open for 5 more minutes”. I replied, “could you investigate, or ask the doctor to investigate?”. Before I could even finish asking this staff member to actually offer to help me, he started talking over me very rudely: “if you just let me sPeAK!!” He interrupted me and spoke over me and was super rude. It’s shocking the tone this man and many other staff who work there use when they are speaking to their patients. Honestly, I am appalled by their service! I am in the middle of compiling an email to the practice manager about ongoing issues I have had with the reception staff who were really unhelpful in helping me to get anywhere with an appointment when I was really unwell. But I feel the need to post this in the hope that someone working at the Beaumont in a managerial position sees. When we as patients speak to the reception, we are calling and asking for help. The staff routinely have a demeanour of not offering to help and being adversarial in conversation. I would really not recommend this surgery to anyone based on the way the reception staff act, even though my GP is good. It’s shameful.

    I moved to the area not long ago and registered with this GP. I never had a chance to see any doctor the only help I got is a repeat prescriptions. I called last week and asked if I can see a doctor as I have ongoing medical condition also I am in so much pain . The receptionist advised me to call back at 8:oo o'clock in the morning. I called this morning at 8:13 and I was a caller number 14. By the time I am number 1 at 9:00 o'clock the line went off .I called back immediately and I was a caller number 4 and waited on the phone until 9:56 nothing happened so I hang up. For the person who is in so much pain and couldn't even move my body from my bed, it is so frustrating and awful experience. I needed help desperately from the GP they couldn't even careless to answer the phone. I felt so much helpless.

    Called the gp to speak to the receptionist I was caller 1 for 22 minutes, receptionist answered very rude and unprofessional, acted like she can’t hear me on the phone when she blatantly can, she just couldn’t be bothered. Extremely rude receptionist she only had one duty and she couldn’t even fulfill that I don’t get why such people like herself are even employed! You need to hire people with manners and professionalism the receptionist failed to even solve my query she decided to hang up the phone as she couldn’t be asked. Highly dissatisfied with the level of service provided in there and would not recommend! Can’t go without saying they’ve got too much attitude as a receptionist!

    I attended the Beaumont practice this morning with my daughter, the receptionist booked us in and asked us to take a seat. The waiting area was neat and clean with a pleasant view of the trees outside. Our appointments were on time and after seeing the G.P. of our choice we left happy with the outcome of our visit. Over all we both agreed that it was a successful visit to a brilliant local 'free nhs service' beyond reproach.

  5. Review titled A very bad experience

    Been with this practice for two years now. I have several ongoing medical conditions (Crohn's, mental health, periods), for which I've regularly tried to reach out to my GP to help me join the dots and figure out what is happening. More than once I've called back months later, asking where my referral is only to find it was never made, or the referee had rejected it and they didn't update me. I have never managed to see my GP face to face. When I use the online portal to reach out and request an appointment, the usual response is just a text message saying I will be referred for tests etc. My GP regularly makes referrals without seeing me or speaking to me. I've been left to figure out how to manage my conditions and how they relate entirely on my own. I feel completely let down at every stage of care.

    I called the GP on different occasions to book an appointment to do a check up on my health, every time I called, they say call us tomorrow to get an appointment, the doctor is out. They don't even book an appoint for later
