  1. Review titled Kind, caring, swift help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alison - Posted on 15 August 2024

Thank you to the reception and clinical staff for their kind, caring, and prompt response when I contacted them twice this month, once for my (adult) son and once for myself. The new system when you can request a call back from reception instead of waiting on the line worked well and is much less stressful. The interface between the practice and 111 clinician also worked well and quickly. I and my son were assessed and given clarity really quickly and saved a long and unnecessary visit to A and E. Really appreciate the care and professionalism from all. Thank you so much.

  2. Review titled Great professionalism

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Dear Billesdon Surgery, I wanted to reflect on the professionalism of your dispensary staff, as they dealt with a challenging patient this afternoon. I thought the staff handled the demands of the patient in a very calm but assertive manner. There was definitely the risk that the situation might escalate and the fact that it didn't is testament to the staff's calmness and professionalism. They should be congratulated.

  3. Review titled Appreciated high quality service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

To all at Billesdon Surgery My family has been using you for 50 + years. We watched the struggle of the last few years, something that was taking place everywhere. You should be congratulated, for expanding a team and improving the service, and on the positive experience of visiting and using the surgery. We know that the problems were not of your making. But the way out of it was your doing. Thank you very much for all the hard work.

  4. Review titled Thank you so much

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jazmine - Posted on 05 April 2024

On this day, I would like to express my utmost gratitude to the dedicated and hardworking pharmacy team for their exceptional and unparalleled service. I had the pleasure of being assisted by a wonderfully bright and colorful lady, with a vibrant shade of pink, who went above and beyond in helping me with my prescription. Despite my own forgetfulness in ordering it, she took care of everything for me and I was able to collect my prescription on the same day. Thank you all so much.

  5. Review titled The system doesn't work

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 March 2024

The morning phone system does not work in favour of the patient. I repeatedly called at 8am, each time listening to a 3 minute recorded message, then engaged tone. finally spoke to a receptionist at 9am - all appointments gone. For people calling from a landline this is expensive as well as frustrating and stressful. This has to change and the surgery needs to realise that the patients are the main concern here rather than an inconvenience. Most surgeries have been graded very poor since the pandemic but Billesdon is one of the worst.

  6. Review titled Extremely frustrating

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 January 2024

Being type 1 diabetic and having prescriptions changed , without notification is unacceptable. I work 13 hour days and trying to get an appointment is impossible. The receptionist aim is to deny patients access to any medical assistance. Booking a Vitamin B12 injection prior is challenging. Getting a nurse appointment is far easier than seeing a GP. Even just getting a telephone appointment to discuss medication, blood test results, ( that receptionist says are borderline) is impossible. Having called the gp at 8 am 2 days running. No appointments. I have now registered at another surgery. Extremely, extremely disappointed.

  7. Review titled Very hard to contact

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 January 2024

Trying to call at 8am to book an appointment for my 2 year old son. After waiting for a 2 minute recorded intro to finish every time I call, it simply goes to engaged tone and hangs up. Extremely frustrating and needs to be changed.

  8. Review titled The service at Billesdon has gone from great to shocking.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2024

I telephoned this morning at 8.00 . I was on the telephone for about 15 minutes when I became 2nd in the queue. At this point I was cut off. I immediately called again and was 19th in the queue. I then put the phone down. After calming down I phoned again in about 20 minutes. After another 10 minutes or so I was told all appointments were full. What a service! Don’t patients matter any more.?

  9. Review titled Sad deterioration of a once brilliant service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 November 2023

Having previously known ( pre pandemic) what a wonderful service Billesdon surgery was. It saddens me to see the negative feedback it gets. This is wholly due to the cessation of the drop in appointments that it used to conduct, every week day. Patients loved the accessibility of turning up on the day to be seen. The GPs disliked doing the open surgery and when the pandemic arrived- the opportunity to close it arrived. Huge mistake in my opinion.. I miss the days when you could pop in and discuss, prescriptions, making appointments for annual check ups. Feel special when they would address you by name. It’s truly a shame. I like many comments on this site , have family that have experienced all these similar issues. Surgeries must remember-You are here for the patients not for the service providers. You obviously are not meeting individuals needs and this must be rectified. Please put the care back into Billesdon Surgery. X

  10. Review titled Wish I didn’t bother!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2023

Rang to book an appointment, just joined the surgery from a different NHS and need a repeat prescription and to see a doctor. (Can see a doctor in 3 months as long as I could!) The whole time I was trying to talk I was spoken over, rushed and she didn’t ask any questions nor let me explain anything, felt like I had to battle her to finish a sentence - I had no idea that to see a doctor you have to go through the website and wait to see see if you secured yourself an appointment because the receptionist said they’ll all be gone by lunch time and it’s a 3 week wait. She kept referring me to look at the website because I can’t seem to understand her? Wish I didn’t bother joining, left feeling silly for ringing and was spoken down to and belittled.
