Review titled Apallingly bad service

I have never come across such a dysfunctional poorly managed GP Surgery. You can't get through on the phone. It constantly refers you to Amina but then says stay on the line if you would like to speak to someone. The phone line then goes dead. An appointment for a flu vaccination was texted to me on a date that I can't make. Through Amina I have now been told that a clinician has seen my request and there is no further action necessary. This practice needs serious overhaul. It is not fit for practice

Review titled Unable to Deliver Services

Phoned, caller 22 in queue, request callback. Hour later callback less than one ring and practice hangs up. Text messsage tried to call, call again and you will be a priority. Called again number 3 in queue then number 1 then clicks and hangs up. Call again caller 8 in queue finally answered. Ask for a GP appointment, receptionist what's your problem ..... have you tried e-consult, (No as it doesn't list my problem), it's just that system gives a call back in 24 hours if you need it and can then get an appointment, as we haven't got any appointments. ? Why don't you put that on your answerphone fo appointment booking. Ans. You can try phoning tomorrow, we usually have a few appointments in the morning. This practice is ridiculous and should be de-commissioned from supplying services as a group so the practices can compete and patients can choose the surgeries which functioned before being taken over by the one which didn't ever work.

Review titled Unexceptable
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Very unhappy and disheartened about my trip to the surgery today . Went to collect a prescription for my husband who is going through cancer treatment . Was given something that is of completely no use to him and so i took it back to be told that they did not have what he needed and this was a substitute . I know that they do not always have everything in stock but why give him something for a completely different use . I handed it back in thinking that maybe this could ne reused for someone else as i hadnt opened it to be abruptly told ( well we will have to put it in the bin then wont we) . We have been shown mo compassion in a already very difficult time and very sorry to say that everytime i have been to the surgery or on the phone i have been treated with rudeness and disrespect and this is very much not needed .

Review titled Extremely Badly Managed Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

The website say they are patient focused - that couldn't be further from the truth. Having read all the reviews left before mine it proves that most people are utterly fed up with the way things are being managed within this practice. I can't count how many times I have stood in the queue at Boots for my mother's prescription to be told it hasn't been sent down from the surgery! I can't count how many times I have explained that I would like a doctor to actually see my elderly mother - to then be told my mother got a telephone call instead - She's deaf, she can't hear them - it's on her notes for goodness sake! Utterly useless. They have given me more stress and high blood pressure than anything else! Management - start listening to your patients - we're not horrible angry people - we're people who need some medical advice and are quite often scared because of ill health. Your system of looking after us isn't working. You're making us all ill.

Dear Patient I am sorry you have had cause to raise concerns and were unhappy with the care your mother received. Thank you for raising your concerns. It is important that we hear from patients when they feel things have gone wrong as this can help us learn and make improvements. Please be reassured the Practice is incredibly patient focused. Our dedicated Practice Team work tirelessly everyday to deliver the service. The Practice are working hard to implement change in what are extremely challenging times. To mention but a few of those challenges staff recruitment and retention, clinical resource and space and an ever growing population. If you would like to discuss your concerns further please do not hesitate to contact the Practice directly. Kind regards The Blandford Group Practice

Review titled dreadful practice

It cannot be acceptable to be undergoing treatment/help for an ongoing condition and to have to fight to see my GP every time I need to, even when twice, the GP has asked me to make a follow up appointment. I've been told it will be an 8 week wait for receive a phone call. I've since done an e-consult, and the result was for me to either have physio, which I've already done for 6 months, or have an injection so I've now got to go through the whole process again to ask for an injection, when the GP said during my last actual appointment to make a follow up appointment so that he could give me the injection if necessary. In the mean time I'm filling myself up with pills to cope with my condition. At one point when I visited the surgery to ask for an appointment the receptionist offered to give me the results of my x-ray there and then in the foyer of the surgery. I wish with all my heart the Eagle House Practice hadn't combined with the others. I have never know such poor patient care, and you are advertising to take on more patients. How about you look after the ones you already have.
