Review titled Very impressed with GP and receptionist
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 June 2023
The receptionist was really friendly and helpful in booking a longer appointment. I had a couple of health concerns and I wasn't sure how to record them on the Patches Form. To my surprise the Receptionist booked the appointment for me. I then only had to wait 2 days for an appointment. The GP was amazing. She was also very friendly and helpful and happy to review my health concerns. Overall a very positive experience. This is exactly how a surgery should be run.

Review titled Rude, unprofessional and uncaring staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 November 2022
I've had staff hang up the phone on me when I was crying and upset about a problem I was having. They've lost some of my medical information and even sent a prescription to a pharmacy I didn't select. Don't go to this GP practice!

We are sorry to hear about your experience at the practice and that we were not able to meet you expectations. I am more than happy for you to provide more specific details to carepoint.practice@nhs.net so that I can further investigate your issues. However, I assure you that our Reception team are trained to help in all matters, but where we are not able to help as a problem or service is outside of our control, we do re-direct you to the most appropriate service. If however, you are unable to accept our advice after being repeatedly informed, then on occasion we do have to end the call so that we can continue to help other patients. With regards to medical information, all paper information is scanned into patient records or received electronically, therefore it is very unlikely that information is truly lost. We cannot take responsibility for information that we do not receive. With regards to prescriptions being sent to pharmacies, we can only send them to a pharmacy of your choice. We have no control of this choice if a pharmacy alters it on your behalf.

Thank you Carepoint for your excellent service, giving everyone their vaccination on last Saturday was a master class in efficiency.

Thank you for your feedback. We take on board feedback from the patients and try to incorporate it the following year to make it even better. Having the PPG (patient participation group) help us deliver this service really shows what we can achieve when we all work together. Carepoint Team

Review titled Flu jab/COVID booster
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Maddy - Posted on 21 September 2022
Flu jab on Saturday, very well organised, just what you have come to expect from Carepoint. Wish my autumn COVID booster had been better organised, no details, leaflet given. Asked for both, told not available, but when I said I needed one, they were found! Not sure what the problem was as plenty of both were on the front reception desk.

Thanks for your feedback. As discussed the COVID Jab has never been given by the GP practice and we are glad to have cleared up the misunderstanding. Carepoint Team
