  1. Review titled A Paradigm Shift

Rated 5 stars out of 5

A blood pressure spike was simply resolved by remotely monitoring the condition using SMS messaging software, to which the practice is linked. GP review of the BP readings supported a considered and effective change in medication. A subsequent call-in from the Surgery for a full blood test by a highly efficient GP assistant, was doubly reassuring. Thank you to all at the Practice.

  2. Review titled Great Doctors

Rated 5 stars out of 5

All of the doctors at this practice are very good. They genuinely seem to care about the wellbeing of their patients and listen to their concerns. I found this a refreshing change from my experience at other practices, and have had longstanding problems finally correctly identified. While they prescribe medication they have also provided counselling and therapy with referrals to weight loss programmes, mental health teams, respiratory teams, and pulmonary rehab. I feel my health is now more stable and under control than it was before, and I now have more understanding of my conditions, as they have explained my conditions to me, rather than just rush me out of the room with a prescription. Nothing is ever perfect in life, but out of multiple practices in multiple counties or boroughs, this is the best service I've experienced from primary care. I'm forever grateful.

I called the surgery to request an appointment for my elderly father, the receptionist was incredibly kind and responsive to our needs and got us an appointment very quickly , today we saw the Dr from my fathers practice who was , highly professional and again kind and caring , on the few ( thankfully) occasions we have needed the surgery all staff have been kind , courteous ,very professional , and respond to our needs in a timely manner . Thank you all so very much for providing an excellent service.

  4. Review titled Exemplary Doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My doctor is outstanding in what they do. Despite GPs being under immense pressures this GP still demonstrates the ability to dedicate time and effort to me personally. This GP continues to check in during what has been a difficult time personally and I cannot thank them enough for all that they have done and continue to do to support. Sadly, due to understandable policies, this GP has to remain unnamed but I do hope the date of this review can be linked backed to them personally and used as part of their review because they truly are exceptional at what they do.

  5. Review titled As you like it

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The Surgery advocates self-referral for minor eye conditions. Taking this up for an ongoing issue; two optometrist appointments, hospital referral and treatment all took place within a few days, followed up by a call-in from the Surgery for a blood pressure check. Humbling to receive this level of health care, with no waiting lists and no panjandrums.

I had an appointment with a nurse this morning which was extremely efficient and friendly. The bloods were taken exceptionally well and overall a great experience. Office staff were very helpful too.

  8. Review titled All's well that ends well.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Rodney Fraser - Posted on 07 June 2023

A care navigator (receptionist) determines how calls are progressed. "I'll put a message through to the doctors," in this case. A recurrent internal inflammatory condition was referred initially, and an unrelated, recurrent skin condition subsequently by email. No examination or consultation took place with either issue. Patient self-diagnosis was accepted, as the basis for prescribed antibiotics (2 courses), and hospital referral for the skin condition. Both resolutions appeared on the patient record, with no other confirmatory communication. This is a high-functioning practice, staffed by caring clinicians, who do not prescribe antibiotics as a panpharmacon for all ills. A consultation after the unsuccessful first course of treatment would have been appreciated, and perhaps appropriate, although this was not specifically requested. Patients, as this one, may find the remote contact uncomfortable. The triage system "grades" patients presenting, according to their assessed level of need. If a good outcome can be achieved, as here, without seeing the patient, that's a win, but a Pyrrhic one if it's a seriously wrong call. You can only admire the dedication and judgement required, and try to understand the pressure of all this on the practice.
