Your nurse at Barming is outstanding. She was very caring and her attention to detail was second to none.

  2. Review titled Very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have phoned again and again to get the results of a blood test. The queue is always full. Message says urgent calls only from 12th Dec to 6 Jan 23 ?? This is a GP practice and how can i know if my condition needs urgent treatment if i can't get the results of a test? It is so worrying. This issue is just the last in a full list of other problems that i have experinced when trying to book an appointment.

  3. Review titled Impossible to Contact

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Thomas How - Posted on 18 November 2022

Every time I, or my wife, try to contact the surgery, we are told the phone queue is full and to try again later. Without fail. E-consult is only good for non-urgent matters that can wait 2 or more weeks, but if you have an urgent issue it's nigh on impossible to get an appointment. Further, the only way to lodge a formal complaint is by phoning... Which, as mentioned, is impossible. As someone with a long term medical condition, it is actually quite scary how difficult it is to contact the surgery. If we had any choice at all, we wouldn't be using this practice at all.

  4. Review titled Totally Broken & No Longer Fit For Purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Emma Farley - Posted on 05 October 2022

Totally Broken!! The staff are lovely but the practice is completely broken and the health and wellbeing of the patients is being compromised. At the beginning of April I contacted the surgery with a medical complaint and they referred me for a scan. I had the scan and then had to chase them for weeks just to get a follow up call with a GP to discuss the results and next steps only to be told, twice, that the results were negative so I didn't need a call. Huh?? I still have the problem so I clearly do need a call to discuss the next steps, that's just logic surely? So about 8 weeks after my scan I finally got a call and was referred for blood tests, that they obviously couldn't do for another 3 weeks. I had the blood tests and unsurprisingly 3 weeks passed without anyone calling to discuss the results and next steps. I went back into the surgery (fortunately I walk past the surgery on my way home from work so can pop in and chase them rather than spending hours trying to get through on a phone line that is constantly at capacity) and was told, again, that the results were negative so I didn't need a call. What?? I explained, again, that I am still suffering so I need to speak to a GP to work out what to do next only to be told (I kid you not!) that they can't book appointments ATM because the system is broken but it's ok, it should be fixed in a couple of weeks so they'll start booking appointments then. You honestly can't make this up! So now it has been over 6 months since I first contacted the surgery, I'm still suffering and it looks like it'll be another month before I can even begin to discuss treatment. Honestly, when I joined 4 or 5 years ago they were great, I have no idea what has happened but they are no longer fit for purpose and the patients are left to suffer

  5. Review titled Brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Eleanor D - Posted on 19 October 2022

Got in contact via Econsult and received a call from the GP on the same day. I was reassured and medication was prescribed and collected the same day. My husband and I would like to thank the Practice for the care that we've received over the years and especially during these challenging times.

  6. Review titled They had to call an ambulance for me

    by Lowno88 - Posted on 05 December 2022

Every time you phone it says no room in the queue. They won't book appointments if you walk down there and see them you have to phone. I feel they give incorrect information and they kept pushing back my appointment until I refused to leave and they had to call an ambulance for me. I had a huge infection but until they saw me I felt like it was irrelevant because I could swallow. I was also dangerously dehydrated

  7. Review titled from bad to worse

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 October 2022

I didn't think this surgery could get worse, but they have outdone themselves. since the recent merger I have been trying for 3 weeks to call the surgery to book a routine appointment with the line constantly 'full' from 8am. They continuously deny receiving paperwork from consultations and mess up prescriptions. They never appear to have Dr's only nurses, they adjust my meds and then never call back, the consult option on the NHS app is only for certain issues so I cannot use it and to top it off I have resorted to writing letters to try and get an appointment and I guess they just throw them in the bin as there has still been no response. I am desperately trying to change surgeries to one that isn't overseen by this group. I have no idea how they can get rated good; it is appalling. Staff seem overworked but are always friendly and it just seems extremely badly managed, and I feel sorry for the staff who must get the brunt of people's ire.

  8. Review titled Going through worst GP experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 October 2022

Ever since pregnancy started I have never consulted my GP except on phone calls which was escalated by 999 emergency out of hour midwife. As my panic attack got worse for not getting enough support as it’s my first pregnancy and GP finds it convenient to leave a text msg that get in touch 8 am in the morning. I can assure from 8 am to 6 pm the phone lines goes into a voice machine (this call queue in full) and disconnects. How on Earth they expect patients to inform any change or worsening of condition if they don’t want to get on calls. And everytime you wish to contact one must fill econsult long list of same repetitive questions which I filled a million times and yet at the time of booking my 16 weeks appointment - I received a msg from the college practice - reads as "Thank you for your recent eConsult request. Please confirm when you are 16 weeks and we will arrange an appointment for you.” All this time I thought my GP should have my details. If at the time of pregnancy GP fails so badly I wonder if there’s any complication or someone with more serious health problems who do they turn to? I also question their merge with Albion place- longer list of patients and zero quality.
