It really is so unhelpful, and time and resource wasting for everyone, to ha e to go through the obstacle course of deflections every time you want to see the GP, who you we have already paid for through our taxes. Calling up on 1 August, there are no routine appointments at all thought the entirety of August, and also the practice will not make bookings for September. The only way to make an appointment at all is to press for something "urgent" on the day, with the time-wasting process if the 8am call and waiting forever, to then have to settle for whatever appointment is offered, however inconvenient. No wonder cancer rates are soaring. We have all learnt to accept this as the norm, when it is just terrible service and care...as well as being resource wasting and inefficient.

I’ve had nothing but excellent service from empathy received from reception staff when calling to book an appointment, to the extensive work the GP’s do to ensure best treatment. Thankful for all staff at the Colne.

There are so many complaints about GP services in the press, and it is true that phoning to get an appointment can be frustrating, but once through I've always found the receptionists to be very helpful. As an elderly patient I feel I've had very good care - where there has been urgency I have been seen promptly, and feel I have received thorough and appropriate treatment. It's very reassuring that I always see my own GP.
