I have had a terrible experience with a receptionist. She told me "see Dr *** again to get ur referral made urgent" so I said he doesn't work at croft he's an urgent care Dr they can't make or change referrals. Then she said OK who is ur GP and I told her and also said "I am happy to see anyone who can do it for me if I need to make an appointment like u say" and she said "well no because ur refusing to see Dr ***" and I reminded her that he does not work at croft! And he can't do anything abO out referrals bc he was a Dr I saw at Urgent care! In the end she was no help. I will call again and try to speak to someone different.

The Doctor was spot on, punctual, listened to me, checked my notes and worked with me to formulate a plan. Prescription issued and collected within an hour. Very nice to have face to face consultation with a well informed empathetic doctor. Most importantly I did not feel rushed. Reassuring, efficient, and faultless service. And cheerful!! But getting this appointment was a struggle, partly because I did not know about new procedures (ie how you can book in advance), and because I had to be firm that I wanted a face to face appt when I did get through to reception. Similarly booking a follow up was not easy and I had to accept a telephone appointment. I’m not sure that the theory of getting appointments works in practice! Hiwever, I do appreciate the constraints the NHS is working under Thankyou - today was just right. .

Impossible to get an appointment either on phone or by logging in. Even to get a telephone consultation you have to go in physically to the practise at 8 am. I suspect this is deliberate by the frontline staff to keep patient numbers low because eventually they will give up trying to access their doctors. It's been like this since pandemic. Wasn't great before that either. Frontline staff can be quite rude at times. Shame because if you can get to see a doctor, they are great.

The worst customer service experience of my life and I am over 65 years old. The person behind the desk refused to deal with my query in the most rude manner possible. This was in addition to them being rude to four other people in front of everyone who was in reception. That person is in the wrong job and the person managing this function should know this and should have done something about this. I am shocked that people like this are allowed to talk to customers.

For the first time I had a medication review with one of the pharmacists. It was really good having 20 minutes to talk through my recent blood results, the medication I am on and my general health.

I requested for some repeat medication from Croft medical about 2 weeks ago, not knowing that the pharmacy recommended by Croft was closing down( Lloyds pharmacy sainsburys) I had no idea seriously as I don’t shop in sainsburys and only use the pharmacy… My prescription was not processed by sainsburys.. On Wednesday 21st June I went to collect my meds and found out that Lloyds had closed, I rang my doctors to find out where and what was happening with my prescription and medication, which I was told come and collect your prescription and go get your medication! I questioned why I haven’t been advised! To which the receptionist starts to cover up the fact that someone had been sitting on my prescription without informing me… I went into Croft to be greeted by an individual who was will to understand the important of my medication, instead we got into an argument with a doctor who came in to try and help but didn’t… I had to walk out the surgery without my meds, sugars low as I was upset and worried… we had to travel 4 different pharmacies as my meds are not always in stock… No apology apart from it’s the patients fault and Croft medical don’t have any connections with the pharmacies they promote…

I had a really good experience ,as I received a worrying letter from the NHS, the Practice Manager did an excellent job of sorting out the next appointment for a blood test and a word with my GP in no time at all ,very efficient.

To say getting an appointment with this farce of a surgery is hard would be the understatement of the millennium. And like others have pointed out, when you do get finally get through, they come across very rude and are told all appointments are taken and to try again tomorrow at 8am. Last but not least, explain to me why you seem to be the only surgery that hasn't reopened your doors? I'd hazard a guess that it's easier for your reception staff to dismiss people on the phone than it is to dismiss them face to face. Please can you improve your service?

Since October 2023 we have made significant changes to our appointment booking system, this includes a pre-bookable method up to 2 weeks in advance.
