    For months now repeat prescriptions are taking 8, 11, 15 working days from order to collection from the surgery, this started prior to their system change. To make matters worse there is never any communication stating their reasons why. Do they need more staff? Do they need outside intervention to make their internal procedures more efficient? Please Deepings Practice put some changes in this shambolic department so that we can collect our prescriptions from you in 3 working days as stated by you! I have tried to move to a different practice but my postcode will not allow this and you have me trapped!

    Good morning, Thank you for your feedback. It is disappointing to read that you have had issues with your prescriptions. Please be advised we aim to work towards 3 working days for your request to be processed and authorised by your GP, and then we request a further 2-3 days for the dispensing of your medication, as per our website information. It is extremely difficult to investigate the issues raised when posts are anonymous so I would encourage you to contact the practice directly for us to personally investigate this for you.     Cannot get a face to face appointment, but offered a phone call from a doctor again. Condition has deteriorated since the call with a doctor last week and I feel a face to face appointment is required and the opportunity to examine the issue directly, in order to inform treatment. Being fobbed off with 'take some Ibuprofen' last week has delayed things and the condition has got worse. I was told that for a face to face appointment I have to be 'triaged' by a doctor over the phone, who will then arrange an appointment if they feel one is necessary? Alternatively it is a 10 day wait to pre-book. This approach builds in unnecessary delays and I don't feel like I am being listened to, but rather part of a fixed process designed for their benefit (not mine). I feel extremely let down by this surgery and worry that if I were seriously ill in the future, I would not receive the timely support or care I need.

    Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns and post your feedback. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the service you received from the practice. Whilst a majority of our GP appointments are telephone triage, followed by a face-to-face appointment where necessary, we have now started to offer a percentage of pre-bookable appointments (up to 10 days) for various appointments such as: telephone, face to face, medication reviews. We are also now offering extended hours later in the evenings and on a Saturday It is extremely difficult to investigate the issues raised when posts are anonymous so I would encourage you to contact the practice at feedback.deepingspractice@nhs.net so that we can personally look into your feedback.     I was recently off work for a few weeks and after reading several negative comments about Market Deeping health centre i have to say i found the reception staff very helpful at a time when they were under much pressure following the system changes. They dealt with me with efficiency and good humour, and they set in place phone consultations with two different doctors, who both displayed a professional, caring and charming attitude. I am back at work full time following a short phased return agreed between the the doctors and my occupational health department and I would like to express my sincere thanks to all concerned.
