  1. Review titled Poor service provider

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jill Thompson - Posted on 12 January 2023

I have tried, many times, to contact the sugery by telephone, it is always enagaged. I always end up resorting to making my way to the sugery and speaking to the receptionist. I have only once been able to have an appointment with a doctor and then that was with a trainee. I have been trying to contact the surgery to obtain an urgent repeat presciption, but once again this cannot be done. I will resort to writing a letter to them. As a retired Practice Nurse, I am more than disappointed with the surgery. Terrible service. I do not know what the doctors are doing, you will never see one.

  2. Review titled Poorly trained reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 January 2023

I filled in an online form as I was havng significant trouble getting through on the phone to discuss an issue. I recieved a reply asking for pictures which I immediately sent. After a week of waiting for a further reply I call to enquire about the response only to find the pictures had never reached the GP due to the recptionist not having sent them to the GP. When the GP called to resolve the issue they said they weren't surprised that the receptionist hadn't sent the images. I was shocked that even though there is knowledge of a training need which is having a significant impact on patient care that it is not being dealt with.

  4. Review titled Used to be good

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Used to be a good practice- now it’s impossible to get an appointment, the online “get help” would be useful, but takes too long to illicit a response, hard to contact by phone most days and you can no longer turn up without an appointment. Unfortunately not worth changing to another practice, as the nearest ones all seem to have the same issues. Since Covid it would appear GP’s don’t actually want to see patients face to face anymore and this practice is no different, they prefer to telephone or do video calls it seems to me and even if you mark your request as “urgent” it still can take up to 4 days to get a response (by which time it would’ve been easier to go to the completely swamped casualty). Best advice for anyone currently is get private heath insurance if you can afford it as the NHS services are going down the pan.

  5. Review titled Bad bedside manner

Rated 2 stars out of 5

We were very disappointed by the care received for my 6 year old autistic son who was very poorly with a chest infection. Dr was unfeeling, treated us like an inconvenience and just clearly didn't know how to interact with children let alone a neurodiverse child.

  6. Review titled Best practice I've ever visited

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

The staff are super friendly and helpful, the online form means no battle calling for appointments, I've never had a long wait to be seen, and they take every issue so seriously, never felt like I'm wasting time. I'm shocked there are bad reviews for this practice! So much so that someone I was referred to remarked upon seeing The Docs was my practice that she is always told by patients referred from here how amazing they are. Credit to all the staff keeping going through the most difficult of times, and keep up the wonderful work.
