    4 times I have put a prescription in and they have missed one item. I’ve written it on their prescription form. I’ve ticked the boxes on a repeat prescription form and still they haven’t been able to get it right. It’s not even the same item they miss…different every time. I’m done. Can’t deal with this anymore. I will answer the next set of questions because I don’t have an issue with the staff as they are always helpful when I speak to them. Not fair that this system is looking to make it a staff thing. I don’t know why there’s an issue but I’m pretty sure it’s not the reception staff.

    I had a pospital scan 9.20a.m in the morning. Received a message from the Elms at 11.50a.m same day to say nothing showing on scan to be worried about. How quick is that! You can't ask for better service! I have been with this practice from my birth. 69 years. Would'nt go anywhere else.

    Visited the surgery for a face to face appointment. From the beginning of the session, and throughout, the GP was very professional and supportive. At times I was made to feel at ease and that my questions/concerns were given serious responses. I requested advice in respect of preparation for a coming outpatient appointment with an authopaedic surgeon at Wrightington Hospital. I had been referred following a recent X-ray report in respect of pain and movement problems resulting from osteoarthritis in my left knee. Following this appointment I felt that the discussion and the advice given has provided me with the confidence that I will be well prepared for the consultation. I also asked regarding a discoloration of the skin on both of my hands - discoloration that had increased significantly in recent months. I was reassured/advised that this was the result of a suppressed autoimmune system which was not treatable but was not a cause for concern.. I appreciated all of the advice given on this visit.

    In my experience with the GP it has been very assuring knowing that this practice are looking after me by always booking my appointments and getting my prescriptions sorted asap. I have a very positive relationship with my GP. Highly recommend

    After attending my appointment with my GPj. I was very happy with the visit from the point of booking to the actual face to face consultation. It is sometime since visiting in person, due to the Corona virus and shortage of staff over the past few years. I was greeted by a very pleasant member of staff . It was great to see others visiting and the whole vibe seemed to be back.

    After being on hold for 40 mins trying to get an appointment, then having to wait nearly 2 weeks for a date I could attend to then turn up for my appointment on time I was made to wait 30 mins with no explanatiion or apology for the wait, whilst waiting I witnessed a queue of 8 people at reception and all the staff were in the back chatting, the Gp I was supposed to be seeing came out of her room 3 times to attend to other Gp/nurse's patients in other rooms who were not appointed to see said Gp. All this and they have a banner outside saying " taking on new patients" It takes forever to get through on the phone, some of the staff are less than enthusiastic when they speak to you, at least give your name when answering the phone and try to sound interested in the job Place has really gone to pot these last few years

    Dear Mr Wood, We are sorry that you feel the need to complain regarding being on hold for 40 minutes to get and appointment and to wait nearly 2 weeks for it. We are very busy in the mornings with patients ringing in and we answer the calls as soon as possible. Our routine pre bookable appointments are booked up early so it can be two weeks later before you are seen. We have on the day appointments , which is why the telephones are so busy. Regarding your wait to see the GP, on that day we had a year 4 medical student in and the GP oversaw their clinic, we can only apologize for this and we will put a sign up to inform patients that we have medical students in the practice. For the staff chatting in the back office and patients waiting, sometimes they have to leave reception if they are dealing with an enquiry and need advise regarding this. We do tell our staff to give there names whilst on the telephone, but they will be told again regarding this. All of this will be discussed with the staff at our next Practice Meeting.     Dear patient. Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear that you are struggling to get through to us on the phone, we have 2-3 receptionists on the phones in the mornings and as you can appreciate, we have a lot of patients trying to get trough to us, and it may take longer to answer. Our receptionists are here to help our patients with any queries and questions. We have regular GP's now, thank you for your comments.     Always struggled to get an appointment, very poor experience in recent years but my recent experience was much improved and even opened on Easter Sunday to see patients.
