Review titled Awful practice - wouldn't recommend
Rated 1 star out of 5

Very, very frustrating trying to get any information from them or being able to book an appointment. They have messed up my referral and now it is like getting blood out of stone trying to get any update whatsoever on it. They only have one care coordinator so when they are off there is simply no replacement or notification to patients that they are off (especially when I was told I would get a ring back the week after but this clearly isn't going to happen now). I had an appointment where its taken over 2 months to simply get my results back when they said it would be a week. There has clearly been a mistake and instead of being on top of this, I have just had to continuously chase as they lack any pro-activeness from their side. Equally they will just lie to you to cover their own back (i.e. saying someone from their team left a voicemail when they didn't, claiming they told you it was an in-person appointment when they didn't). It is fine that mistakes happen but when they give no solution whatsoever to remedy them it just puts more stress and onus on patients to try and rectify their mistakes. Also, while reception staff are polite they are very unhelpful and not very useful when actually trying to solve issues and the doctors you speak to can range from outright rude to lovely so just luck on who you might get. They used to be a good practice, so not sure if they have got new management, etc. but in the last year or 2 the quality has drastically decreased and I actively tell people to not sign up.

Review titled Very unhelpful

Very difficult to get an appointment and even when one is booked they give you a very big window when they try and ring you, and while they ring twice it isn't very useful to be ringing only 4 minutes apart! Then you can't even book an appointment afterwards as they never have anything available. Also while the doctor's are friendly, it feels as though it takes a long time for them to properly refer you to the appropriate services - which is time consuming and frustrating. While I have been a big advocate for the surgery in the past I will definitely look into switching GP's as they only seem to be getting worse.

Review titled An excellent team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sean McGrath - Posted on 12 August 2024
Two doctors were closely involved in monitoring my PSA score for 5 years. One doctor urged me to undergo a prostate biopsy in March 2023. Cancer was found to be present but it was contained within the prostate. So I was therefore eligible for the focal therapy treatment. I had this done in July 2023 and the follow up since has shown that the treatment has been successful. I am very grateful to the team at the Evergreen Surgery for keeping me well.

Review titled Impossible to get an on the day appointment!
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Wanstead resident - Posted on 03 January 2024
I have been with this practice for 27 years and have always been able to get an appointment when ill, by phoning on the day. In October 2023 I was held in a phone queue for 20+ minutes and when it came to my turn, I was told that all the appointments had gone. Feeling very frustrated, I was advised that i could have gone on line from 07.50am, when all that day’s appointments could be booked. Unfortunately, poised to access the system today at 07.50, there were no face to face appointments shown, nor any phone consultations. Furthermore, the phone line queue was full, so I couldn’t access that. Not that there would have been any point….. doubtless by the time I got through, there would again be no appointments left! In October, I was given the number of the Loxford Clinic as an alternative. What is the point in having a local Practice, if you can never access it when you are ill? The staff and GPs are all wonderful, but my recent experience has tarnished my view I’m afraid. Oh and they welcome new registrations- good luck with that….

Thankyou for taking time to write a review. We appreciate that capacity for NHS GP appointment's is a national problem and frustrating for staff and patients. We are working to try and make the best use of the available resources and welcome any input from users of the serviced
