This evening I had a call booked in with GP which I had booked earlier this afternoon as an emergency telephone appointment at 2pm. The time quoted was between 5:30-7:30pm, I was putting my baby to bed at 6:00pm and unfortunately missed the one call, they did not leave me a message nor call me again, upon me calling the number back 3 minutes after the missed call I was answered by a receptionist to did not allow me to speak and hung up the phone due me calling about a mental health issue. In this day and age it is really concerning that matters like this are not respected as my good friend had to convince me to even make the phone call to book the appointment in the first place. I would really appreciate if the surgery could rebook an emergency appointment and the person that i spoke to this evening be reported as I do not want this to happen to other vulnerable people. This is being reported on the 16/10/24 which is the same date that I have spoken to the person working in reception and I would appreciate a response back. To be clear this was a telephone appointment booked in for this evening.

Thank you all on Friday.You gave me a emergency appointment within a one hour.I saw a great doctor.I was given a prescription.I was so worried because of weekend and thought I’d have to wait till Monday.

Patience - understanding as to my problems in every way. Kindness and willingness to help me from every member of the team at the receptio to the doctor or nurse. Total professionalism received from the beginning and through the entire length of the treatment whether it be short or long. The support from the surgery is ongoing. And the planned treatment which I am about to receive is explained to me in detail. Every time I leave the surgery after an appointment, whether the results are negative or positive I walk out the door with a smile on my face. My sincerest respect and thanks to all the staff. I was extremely happy with my experience today. Initial contact was via the NHS app and a Patch service message which - much to my surprise - worked perfectly. I was phoned and had seen my doctor and been referred to StMary's by the end of the day! In the past I have found the reception staff intimidating and (how can I put this?) challenging. But today it was very smooth and efficient - apparently the staffing has been completely changed. All good! Well done!

Had a medical problem, called in the morning, telephone appointment same day, next day in person appointment with Dr Phornarit. Sorted. Excellent.
