  1. Review titled No appointments are ever available

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Chris - Posted on 29 August 2024

I have always struggled to book an appointment in this GP. I don't feel comfortable with this. My repeat prescriptions have been cancelled twice with no warning needed, and I couldn't get hold of a doctor to reactivate them. This happened recently when I was going to go away on a trip and I was running low on medication - when I tried to reorder I couldn't do it, and there was no way to contact a doctor.

  3. Review titled Great practice, excellent health care links

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Following recurring shoulder pain, left over from old injuries, an appointment at the surgery and a referral were swiftly organised. The surgery’s link up with ‘Healthshare’ is very efficient it made contact very swiftly. After seeing a consultant on Sunday an X-ray referral arrived by post on Wednesday for a ‘Walk-in’ X-ray at Chelsea & Westminster. I attended on Friday and was in & out in under half an hour. Very impressed.

Very good care and service from doctors, nurses and front desk. Easy access to booking appointments. Referrals have worked very swiftly. Surgery keeps patients informed of general health aspects and hosts voluntary events for physical and mental well-being.

  5. Review titled Above and beyond

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The doctor at King Edward Street practice in Oxford went above and beyond to sort the appropriate pain medication for me. Even going so far as ringing around pharmacies to ensure that I would be able to collect asap given the level of pain I was experiencing. She took time to go through my condition and pain options. She has even booked in a follow up telephone call for later this week to assess progress. I am continually impressed by level of care offered by this practice. They really excel at care and compassion for patients as well offering high quality professionalism in service delivery. They are a model of good practice.

Walford Mill practice in Dorset is superb. The best part is that they are very well organised from the care navigators to the nurses and of course the Doctors. They should be pilot for how all practises should be run.

  7. Review titled Excellent doctors and good support team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Spoke with doctor this morning and she promptly addressed all my concerns. Have been using the practice for nearly 50 years and always found them helpful. Clearly they and the NHS as a whole are under great pressure but practices like Cornerways are the keystone of the Service and must be respected and supported by the Government.

  8. Review titled Great service from Park Green Macc

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I rang up the surgery to check if I needed to talk to anyone about needing a repeat blood test. I had already booked a telephone appointment for this purpose two weeks ahead just in case I was required to talk to a GP prior to having repeat tests. The very helpful and attentive receptionist checked with someone and immediately arranged a telephone consult for that very afternoon. The GP listened well and arranged for me to have the tests the next day. The Blood testing centre staff were excellent. The GP texted me with reassurance about my blood test results on the same afternoon as I had had the test. I was very impressed with this. I had the same sort of positive experience with the receptionists and the GP about five months ago. Well done and thank you to everyone at the surgery.

  10. Review titled Fails the patient

Rated 1 star out of 5

Why can’t the Drs read a bit of background into patient prior to appointment to prevent them giving incorrect advice. This is happening again and again. When you call back to rectify it you are blocked from further appointments by difficult reception staff. Scary .
