Review titled Great practice and excellent reception staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mr Hunt - Posted on 12 May 2024
I visited the practice recently due to me taking time off work for stress. I had a nice chat with the Dr and he made my mind feel at ease and recommend that I take time away from the office. And do more outdoor walking and get some fresh air in my system. He said a change of senary would help. He was correct.he also recommended that I take some no prescription vitamins and minerals. This helped I am now fully refreshed and will be back to work next month. Thanks grove road .

I was having very serious period pain so I called the surgery up I was very pleased that it was a female receptionist I told her what was wrong and she could tell I was a bit embarrassed so she asked if I would like a chaperone. I was really surprised of course I said yes.they also told me to come in straight away. I meet the chaperone and she escorted me in the the surgery. I am very pleased with the examination I had and the medication prescribed. Thank you grove road

Review titled Professional approach and full commitment.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My doctor from The Grove Road Surgery quickly and properly addressed my health problem. He performed the necessary tests and provided me with enough information to understand what the next stages of my diagnosis and treatment would look like. This is not the first time he has reacted so effectively in my case. Thank you!

I have recently moved to the area and I suffer with diabetes. I was not feeling to good and called the surgery Friday lunchtime they told me to come in Saturday morning. I was thoroughly checked out and given tips on what to eat and not to eat in order to keep my diabetes under control .this was the first time this had happened to me and I am very very pleased that I was given this Saturday appointment. I took the advice and am coping well .

I work in the city and recently fell of my bike with a suspected fractured wrist. I called the surgery first and they told me to come in ASAP. The treated me well and bandage me up that saved me from a 4 hour wait had I be told to go to A and E . I am really pleased with the treatment I received from this surgery

Review titled Never any weekend appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Lydia Stott - Posted on 15 October 2023
Despite being part of 'The Hub' and claiming that they have Saturday and late night appointments, its just not true. I tried and tried to get a Saturday appointment and they just said they weren't available every single time.

Review titled Doesn't take patients seriously
Rated 2 stars out of 5

There is an empathy barrier I've felt at this practice verging on medical gaslighting at times. Difficult to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame and even when you can get one it's often not worthwhile. The default is always telephone consultancy which is an absolute abomination to medical practice. It feels like they want to keep you at arms length. I'm convinced they require some serious communication training in empathy and compassion. You won't get it here just sent on your way, illness or ailment left untreated.
