As a responsible young adult who does not want to get pregnant yet I contacted the surgery in January to arrange for my contraceptive implant to be renewed as it as it was due for replacement in February. It is now July and after many telephone calls to ask why I still have not got an appointment the receptionist advises that I am on a waiting list of 69 people and they cannot tell me how long I will be waiting. This has never been an issue before so I don't understand why it is now. They literally cannot say how long it will take before I am seen even though my contraception was due for renewal almost six months ago. The also advised me to contact the sexual health clinic for them to do it but they never have any appointments available. This is so frustrating and unacceptable.
