I called into the surgery yesterday to book a blood test for my wife , the receptionist was extremely helpful giving me an option of which of the two surgery’s would suit her. I also mentioned that I would like to see a G P to discuss an ongoing problem , outlining basically what my problem was . She offered me an appointment that very afternoon . Unfortunately I didn’t get the name of the medic I saw , he was extremely thorough and has referred me to a specialist along with immediate medication . Already the following day I’ve received confirmation appointment is being arranged . I cannot praise my experience with Iver Surgery enough, the receptionist and the medic that examined me .I’m aware the demands on the health service are at full stretch , so my sincere thanks for the help and compassion I’ve been given on this and previous recent visits.

I recently broke emotionally due to sustained anxiety & stress in my workplace. I’m a strong individual who basically looks after solving other peoples problems including my family . I’m a single father looking after an 86 year old mum who has suffered depression for such a long time and a 25 son who is in therapy for anxiety. Add this to sustained stress at work and I imploded emotionally in November. My GP at Ivers Surgery listened to me when I saw him. It was hard for me to accept , what I considered, failure for a strong man like me. The doctor simply understood me and therefore a trust grew. Empathy is so important even in my job as a leader of people . Understanding me as an individual. He asked me hard questions in regards to how I was feeling . Hard in , for me to actually admit , I couldn’t keep going on this path of anxiety. He listened, understood and chatted. I cried for the first time in a long time infront of him. Empathy & seeing me as an individual when I’m sure a GPs day can seem like a production line of peoples ailments & issues. Thank you to Iver Surgery who has looked after myself & my family since 1977. A very grateful Gary

As a new patient, I didn't know where to go. Receptionists could have been more helpful. For example, when I said I didn't know where to go, it would have been a great opportunity to ask me if I had any other questions. I could then hear their gossip from the waiting room. Finally, me being new should also have been flagged up on a system as the doctor I saw kept on mentioning things (as if I would know). When I said I was new, the doctor said.."oh, welcome".. not at all delightful in the tone of voice - they may as well not have said anything it was so disingenuous. Not a very good first impression. But, I can only base it on this, so let's see. My neighbours have said that they attend another local GP practice (which I wasn't aware of at the time of applying here) - I wonder if that is saying something. Time will surely tell, but so far, not great. First impressions count.

I called Ona Monday morning and got straight through to the receptionist who booked me in on the same day to see the physiotherapist. Later that day I received a text to go for an X-ray. I also received an email with regard to a follow up appointment with the MSK department . What an amazing and quick service !!!

Doctors listen to your health concerns and explain carefully how to treat the condition. Recently I saw one of the doctors and he did tests and within two minutes he gave the results, which were negative. I left the clinic and within one hour the doctor called me and told me he spoke to his one of his colleagues who recommended that I should book for a blood test. I returned to the Iver Health Centre to book to have a blood tests. Thanks to you all.

Iver medical is an excellent practise all the doctors and staff give one hundred percent. I had need to visit the surgery recently and my medical problem was dealt with swiftly. I have many reasons to be thankful to them over the years
