Review titled Very efficient
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Adrian Balch - Posted on 19 October 2024
We recently moved house into the Lawn Medical Centre's catchment area and have to say what a breath of fresh air this Centre's staff are compared with our previous GP's surgery. Had my flu & covid vaccines done yesterday and was greeted by lovely reception staff and taken straight in with no waiting. Thank you all for just being you.

Review titled Caring Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5

In times where the NHS is struggling and people are complaining, I wish to thank the Lawn Medical Centre. I have phoned today and got an on the day telephone appointment with the GP. The receptionist was polite, and friendly and apologised for the fact that there were no more in person appointments explaining that if the GP felt I needed it she would see me. The GP spent time listening to my concerns and reassuring me and again apologising for how long it took for her to phone me - I have no problems with having a telephone appointment or having to wait for a phone call because when I spoke to the GP my issue was resolved and I didn't feel like the appointment was being rushed and I felt listened to. I would srongly recommend this practice

Review titled Unacceptable waiting times and practices
Rated 1 star out of 5

Almost 30 min wait to see the nurses after the appointment due-time, without mentioning the early arrival. Total time on that occasion spent waiting for a Vit.B injection that lasted less that 4 min, was 50 min. Another occasion in the past, arrived for nurse appointment, waiting room full and smelly, while nurses chatting and enjoying themself in the kitchen next to waiting room for at least 15min, past my appointment time. Then when they finished their simultaneous break and disappeared in their respective rooms they made everyone wait at least another 10 min before starting to call patients in for their treatment. No point having appointments if they get ignored to the benefit of "at the same time" tea-breaks. The nurses behavior in relation to the patients waiting, needs to change as is disrespectful, unacceptable and unprofessional.

Review titled Understand Pressures but disappointed
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Sue M - Posted on 17 January 2023
I received an NHS letter following a routine lung health scan - it contained some worrying information. I made a telephone appointment with a GP, but do not feel that my concerns were properly understood and also that one of the concerns was already known, although it was the first I had heard of it. So I have been left disappointed and wondering if I should pay for a private lung function test.
