  2. Review titled No capacity to see my 7 month baby

    I have been with Lilyville since my son was born. There have been a couple of appointment mix ups where I have been turned away. Two days ago my 7 month old son has had purple spots of bruising on his leg which is not going away. I sent photos through via PATCH and was told a Doctor had to see this but they could not fit me in. I went to A&E and it was very very busy so after waiting 45 mins we left and I called Lilyville to try and get an appointment for day after. They said they do not have capacity so I questioned them and said 'So it's not urgent then?' and they replied saying "no it needs to be seen but we can't see you.' I am now about to sign up to a new medical centre as I have heard this happen time and time again with Lilyville. I went a couple of weeks ago and was seen my medical students because there was no capacity. I don't understand why they are expecting new patients. If you have a baby I would try and sign up with another centre.

    We asked for an appointment for our 5 year old son - who had chronic abdominal pain. Without an option of a call or even further information, he was given an appointment 3 whole days later! Another day past and he is now in A&E - has been for 4 hours and is 9pm at night. I come from a family of NHS workers past and present, children need to be prioritised. This is so disappointing.

    Early appointments meant I could also go to work without much loss of time. My surgery is the best surgery - they are always helpful and help me when I am in need of the care the most. The GP team is understanding and I don't feel rushed. Seen within minutes of arrival. The doctor prescribed to me was friendly, efficient, and concerned for my welfare and well-being. The place is clean, with comfortable waiting chairs.

    The staff at lilyville is amazing - I am so grateful for the ongoing support of doctor to help me through a period of ill health with sciatica and knee issues. She has been so patient to try different medications and track my progress and move to alternatives to manage pain. Also, Excellent nurse who was very kind and experienced. Lovely clean room and I was seen on time. Kind, knowledgeable, and thorough doctor. Trusted her advice. Thank you

    I had to visit the surgery this morning for a blood test and again was greeted by courteous , friendly and welcoming staff who are always extremely polite and helpful . It is so important when visiting a medical practice as any patient feels anxious but the staff here at the lilyville have the ability to put you at ease . Keep up with promoting excellent patient care.

    I recently contacted the surgery using Patches to request a blood test and within less than 2 hrs , a member of the team called me offering me an appointment the following week plus a diabetic foot check . This quick response , care and efficient service is undoubtably the best I could have ever asked for . Thank you all at Lilyville . an amazing surgery

    Me and my children are new to the area - this surgery has completed our registration in no time and given a flu jab appointment together with a nurse appointment to do the required jab. This surgery has very effective management in place to allow such efficiency in procedures. All the staff is extremely helpful and positive. Not seen a GP here yet but I now have high expectations from the GPs too. I hope they keep this standard forever. Thank you all at the surgery.

    My experience up until my appointment was great. The Patch system works well and a friendly doctor called me back relatively quickly to learn more about my symptoms. She suggested booking an appointment for that same day for someone to listen to by chest. At the walk in clinic the nurse who I saw was immediately rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable - as someone who doesn't go to the doctor for just anything, and hasn't in over three years, this experience made me realise why I don't. After an extremely quick examination (less than 30 seconds) she told me patronisingly 'it's what we call..... a cold'. And that was that. Regardless of whether you think a patient might not need to be there, I clearly was and felt pretty unwell. To be belittled and patronised made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and also stupid - that, coupled with feeling pretty unwell made me burst into tears as soon as I left. There should always be a place for kindness, especially at the doctors.

    The surgery has now changed the way a patient has to order any repeat medications which is using a new website called systemonline. You have to contact the surgery to be given a username and password which I did and this very helpful receptionist put this task into action immediately enabling me to order my medications without any hassle. Dont despair....this was an easy way to let your requirements known . Its a brilliant system . Yet again, well done lilyville surgery.
