  1. Review titled Pathetic

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After a recent emergency admission, I needed to speak to a doctor regarding ongoing treatment. It took 5 minutes for my telephone call to be answered by a receptionist who had obviously been trained to say "Computer says no". Do they get taxpayers money for this? I don't expect them to have time to read reviews either. What a waste.

Firstly, I hope you are feeling better after your emergency admission. It is however difficult for the Practice to respond or learn from any negative patient experiences as the review has left very little information regarding: - when this was - what the request was for - whether this has been resolved We have a queue buster option whereby our system phones you back if the patient selects this. All our telephone calls are recorded so we are able to learn from any negative experiences and see where or if we have failed our patient's experience of our services. We have an online e-consulting platform for all clinical and admin queries available 24/7 which it looks like this could have been utilised for. We have had extremely positive patient feedback recently, particularly with our same day service in our new Urgent care extension. We don't know if our team were simply unable to help you as this was something that secondary care should be dealing with and we had not had an update from them. An anonymous review with a heading as per the attached is not helpful in creating a positive learning outcome and we do have supervisors or myself available to speak with or call you back if you ever have future concerns. I do always try and reply to reviews, both negative and positive. David Concar - Practice Manager E - mylimes.noreply@nhs.net

Had a coil fitted and the nurses care before, during and afterwards was exceptional. Highly recommend, they were all amazing, so thank you so much x

  3. Review titled Waiting

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had to give this rating, sadly, because I was offered a GP appointment in 4 weeks! This isn't the fault of this practice, it's due to 12 years of deliberate underfunding of the NHS. A colleague had the same problem at another practice and had to wait 7 hours at a walk in centre. The doctors and staff at the Limes are excellent but you can't see them when you need to. I had to get a private consultation and test to get a prescription for home equipment at a total cost of £1300 for items free on the NHS, but unobtainable in a reasonable timeframe. The ambulance service can't provide an emergency service any more, and there's no private emergency service or A&E even if you could afford it. It's a total avoidable disaster.

It is a shame you have left a negative review if you feel this is not the fault of the Practice, however we do offer a same day service to patients needing to speak to a GP or other paramedical staff or indeed have ways of submitting queries via e-mail or e-consultations. We have an in-house Pharmacist also that could have liaised with you about your prescription. I can only assume you were asking for a named GP (that may have had annual leave during that time period) as our team would have offered you these various options. We are busier than ever but we do have mechanisms in place to support our patients, particularly those in urgent need of care or ongoing support. If you want to contact me to discuss further then I am happy to take your call at a convenient time and I could review any calls for potential training purposes. The other issues you mention are perhaps to take up with your local MP. Thank you for your comments about our excellent GPs and staff which I echo David Concar - Practice Manager
