Review titled Terrible service
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 December 2024
It is truly dreadful and extremely disappointing service. I called early in the morning around 8am to get an appointment but I was told I was 26th in the queue. I have to go to work so I cannot stay on the line for long. Therefore I went online, I was told Dr IQ is now Evergreen app. I tried numerous times to register and such a lengthy process. If you are not computer literate than it would be hard work. Then I have to wait for my details to be verify which could take a few days maybe even longer. So I am stuck. Then I called back later in the day and then I was number 1 in the queue for more than 20 minutes on hold. Terrible. Gave up. I will be planning to leave this practice. This is not the first time this has happened. It is very disappointing and poor service.

I was attended to by a lady who administered flue jab on me and I felt good during and after as if niddle was not put in my left hand. Unlike in the past there was no blood or pain during and after the jab. Her experience is invaluable.

Had Great experience with the nurse whose name was Angelina I went for a flu jab. Also I was told I needed to have a blood test which I had on the same day which save me from going there again. She explained everything what the test was for. everything was far and well done to Angelina.

Review titled Disappointing and slow service
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Amelia Sinclair Williams - Posted on 26 September 2024
My first issue is that my referral to a specialist was put through wrong twice by 2 different GP's at the practice, my second issue is after waiting 2 years for them to sort this and finally getting a diagnosis i have been unable to collect the medication as they sent it to the wrong chemist and then told me it will take 48 hours to send to the right one and it has surpassed that time and it isn't there

Review titled Dismissive and discriminating
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 July 2024
On various occasions I have found both reception staff and the GP dismissive and discriminatory. A GP was dismissive regarding access to life saving medication for a 2 year olds allergies. The reception staff were discriminatory as despite calling up I was told the best way to get an appointment is by queuing outside the practice at 8am, this is discriminatory towards people who are less mobile, ie heavily pregnant, elderly, disabled.

Dear Patient, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I am truly sorry to hear about your recent experiences at our Practice, and I want to assure you that this is not the level of care we aim to provide. Firstly, I apologise for any distress caused by the GP's response regarding access to medication for your child's allergies. The health and safety of our patients, especially young children, is of utmost importance, and it is concerning to hear that you felt your concerns were not fully addressed. I would like to investigate this further, therefore, please email us at souccg.listerpractice@nhs.net so that I can look into this. Regarding the issue with the reception staff and the advice given about queuing outside for appointments, we strive to provide equal access to all our patients, regardless of their mobility or circumstances. Our phone lines open for appointments at 8 am. Our call-back system allows patients to enter a queue and receive a call-back when an administration team member is free, meaning patients no longer need to wait in line. Patients do have the option to come into the Practice to book a same-day appointment. In addition, we have the Dr iQ app to increase access. We understand that our current system may not suit all our patients; given this, we are reviewing our appointment booking system and hoping to make changes soon. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Thank you again for your understanding and for bringing these important issues to our attention. Kind Regards, Duniya Hussein Interim Practice Manager

The staff that attended to be me on the 05.04.2024 at 1430hrs was a great staff, that shows her dedication and passion for her job. She goes out of her way to support and help the patient. I had a fantastic experience while she was attending to me. I have a white coat syndrome, but she makes me feel at easy that my BP was not all over the place. She is a treasure to the surgery. I wish I meet her in every of my visit. Thank so much for what you do.

Review titled Terrible

It is impossible to get an appointment online and even harder to get one face-to-face. They won’t allow in advance appointments with my preferred doctor, this has caused me a lot of stress seeing a new doctor every time. Many of the reception staff are rude and unhelpful. To be honest, I’ve never not had a chaotic experience with this GP and I dread having to contact them for anything.

Dear Patient, My sincere apology for the delay in responding to your comment. I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experiences with our service. It's concerning to know that you've had difficulties booking appointments and negative interactions with our staff. Regarding the appointment system, we understand that our current system may not suit all our patients; given this, we are reviewing our appointment booking system and hoping to make changes soon. It is important to note that we will continue to do our best each day to deliver as many appointments as is safe to do. However, we do not have unlimited resources and are currently working to maximum capacity. Regarding continuity of care, all our patients have the right to see the clinician of their choice at the surgery; this request would need to be made when booking the appointment. As not all of our clinicians work every day, this does limit the availability of preferred GPs, but please be assured that all of our clinicians have access to all relevant medical records to make the appropriate decisions about our patients' ongoing care and treatment. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with our reception staff. This is not the level of service we strive to provide. Your comments are important to us, and we will address this issue with our team to ensure improvements are made. Your feedback is valuable, and I'll share it with the team so we can improve our processes further. If you're open to it, please feel free to reach out to me via the practice email souccg.listerpractice@nhs.net so we can discuss how to better meet your needs in the future. Kind Regards, Duniya Hussein Interim Practice Manager

No one answering the phones for +35 mins. Slow response to Dr. iQ app request. Can't book an appointment via either, and no available appointments for 2 / 3 weeks when visiting in person. Frustrating.

Dear Patient, I’m really sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve experienced trying to reach us and book an appointment. Your frustration is completely understandable, and this isn’t the level of service we aim to provide. I understand that our patients are waiting longer for the telephone to be answered than we or our patients would like. The demand for our service has increased, which has affected our response time for our telephone to be answered. I assure you that we do our best to ensure that all telephone calls are answered as promptly as possible by our reception team. In addition, we have introduced a call-back system which allows patients to enter a queue and receive a call-back when an administration team member is free, meaning patients no longer need to wait in line. I’m sorry to hear that you have had issues booking advance appointments with the practice; we understand that our current system may not suit all our patients; given this, we are reviewing our appointment booking system and hoping to make changes soon. I’m sorry to hear that you have had a slow response to Dr iQ; I will certainly feed this back to the team. Thank you again for your feedback and for bringing these important issues to our attention. Kind Regards, Duniya Hussein Interim Practice Manager
