  1. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Huge thanks to the practice for great service yesterday. I was out of the area, away from home and needing urgent help. My e-consult was responded to quickly with an acknowledgment and a doctor called within 2 hours. After a very helpful telephone consultation, a prescription was sent electronically to a pharmacy at my location. You saved the day, thank you! In addition, I have had a few different medical issues recently and on each occasion, I have been supported with care and efficiency.

I was seen by a very pleasant and very efficient nurse. The only problem was I had to travel to Redbourn. I live next to The Lodge Surgery.

  3. Review titled Frustrated

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Alan Jones - Posted on 14 March 2025

My apt for ear wax removal on 12/3 was cancelled by the Lodge surgery. I called to make another appointment as my right ear was blocked and got one at Redbourn for the following day. The nurse, who was 20 mins late, said that she only had time to look in my ears, not remove any wax. I would have to make another apt for that. The next available was weeks away so I had to pay to go privately.

Really helpful and polite receptionist. Lovely GP who listened to what I was saying, chatted everything through with me, and made helpful recommendations. Would definitely recommend!

Sent econsult mid- morning Monday, received appointment v quickly for 1.30 pm, seen promptly by female GP as requested, interviewed and examined sympathetically, diagnosed with chest infection, prescribed antibiotics, advised on recovery. Altogether a good and reassuring experience.

  10. Review titled Caring practice.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Kate Gardiner - Posted on 10 March 2025

Seen promptly by a young doctor who, unfortunately, is only there for a few months. He listened attentively and has asked for further examinations to be made. Good practicee, just wish there were more appointments available.
