    Very short wait time ,very professional and explained everything in detail,very polite and friendly even though it was a very hot day .excellent.

    Sometimes they are amazing and respond to expnsults and book appointments really quickly.... Other times, good look getting a response and getting an appointment! Also one receptionist has been so rude to me down the phone when I was pregnant, I cried. Later that day, after my colleague told me I had to call back, I was sent to a&e and admitted to hospital. There was some initial teething issues with expnsults, and receptionists being rude with you calling to book appointments, when you can't submit e consults for young babies. Not sure if this has been rectified but it made me really anxious to seek help for my baby when it was needed as I knew it would be a battle. The rate in which they refer to 111 is ridiculous. I feel like your GP should be your first port of call, not 111 because your GP is unavailable. However, there has also been times where there has been a quick response to the econsult. Having to travel into St Albans for appointments is not ideal.

    A request online for attention to one ear blocked with wax had a quick response by phone and an appointment within two days. The appointment was quick and efficient and carried out in the most sympathetic and pleasant way. The ear is now completely normal. Excellent service, thank you.

    Needed a doctor`s letter. Had to do econsult as that is all the surgery allows. Econsult is a nightmare, long and forces inaccurate information due to options to proceed. Got an appointment despite telling them all I needed was a letter confirming my condition. Had to phone anyway as appointment was not suitable, they insisted they could not write a letter until I had seen a doctor, thankfully managed to get an appointment at another date (earlier than the original). 40 mins after appointment time the doctor saw me. The doctor was a locum and said she could not write a letter as she was just a locum and would refer the letter request to admin. A long process that isn`t resolved and could have been completed without wasting everyone`s time.

    Arrived at the surgery and waited to be seen, the doctor I saw was really nice, she told me what I was doing here and explained everything I needed to know as plain as can be, I found the information really helpful, thank you.

    I was attended to at the scheduled time for my appointment. Staff were knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions. Very happy with the service.

  8. Review titled confusing admin and response to e.consult

    Have submitted an econsult, which was promptly replied with an offer of home visit, and promised a schedule confirming message. Message was never received so on day of visit I’ve contacted surgery to attain a time, was suggested lunch time. Immediately after received a text message to apologise for error, that home visit was not going ahead and was offered a face to face appointment was for 2 days after. Ended up with a phone appointment instead. Between econsult being submitted 5 days passed until I spoke with a GP to clarify my questions on medication. Regardless of emergency or outcome, the practice made a mess of appointments, creating a confusion to patient and wasting valuable time.

    The Dr I saw on 30.08.24 was extremely thorough with his examination and medical request. I was immediately put at ease as I entered the examination room. The Dr sent me the link to book my blood tests, making it easier to book. After I left, he then sent me a message to collect another form for a blood test. Extremely professional
