    I was at the point for some years since the death of my wife at 57 years of age, of feeling I was unable to use the previous surgery we were both registered at. My wife died from sepsis, and only cellulitis was picked up over a telephone consultation at that surgery during the Pandemic. This was absolutely devastating and made me feel subsequently it was impossible for me to use my previous surgery since it happened, and essentially, I only had the option of paying to see a BUPA GP privately to get access to care until I was allowed to move here late last year due to a geographical boundary change for them accepting new patients. It has been a massive relief to find somewhere I can now use for treatment. Uniformly, I have found all staff that I have dealt with there extremely caring and knowledgeable. I’ve been seen very quickly on the occasions I’ve needed to see a doctor. And I have found during those consultations the GPs are extremely thorough. It is also an excellent system they employee for making appointments. Either physical at the surgery, or having GP‘s phone you as I found the other day. I rang in just after 8 o’clock in the morning and the GP phoned me back within three hours. I was also hugely impressed at how long you were given for a consultation. When I did go to my previous surgery I was lucky to get 10 minutes maximum. But seeing one of the senior doctors on my first visit, I spent at least half an hour with him and saw him not long after I rang in with my health concern. As things stand, I cannot speak too highly of this surgery. It clearly has the feel of somewhere that is prioritising patients, rather than seeing them as an inconvenience.

    I have been seen twice within a week and I cannot commend highly enough the care and efficiency exhibited by the Staff at Manor Surgery. The telephone system, though intimidating, has worked beautifully - Reception have dealt with my call and passed on my details, the Doctors have spoken to me within the hour. Both have demonstrated great attention to detail. Outstanding! Please pass on my thanks to all concerned - I am greatly impressed.

    My recent appointment was for a smear. This was dealt with in a kind, caring and proactive manner. Staff are proactive in their role, supportive and caring. No problem is too large, every effort is made to help in a supportive and caring manner. Every experience within the surgery has been positive; from GP appointments to prescription advice, to smear tests with much advice and support and on much more important matters involving the GP’s with positive outcomes. When aspects of life feel difficult, it’s so reassuring to know support is at hand at the Manor Surgery.

    I phoned the Manor surgery this morning and asked for a call back. Within half an hour, I received a call back and was able to make an appointment to speak to one of the doctors. I received a call from one of the Drs and explained my problem. I was able to go down to the surgery at 4:30 and have a steroid injection into my shoulder. The Dr was polite and patient,explained everything to me. This was an amazing service, thank you!

    I rang at 8am to book an appointment. Initially dismayed to hear more than 30 were in the queue but there is an option to request a call back from the surgery when you have reached No 1 in line. It worked. I was able to end the call and wait for the surgery to ring me, which they did 15 minutes later. For me it reduced the anxiety of waiting and enabled me to get on with other things albeit keeping the phone close to hand.

    Whilst my 4 year old child with severe additionalga needs was behaving in a non-neurotypical way, it was suggested by the wise receptionist that I could “ take him outside”. To the car park? To the main road? Let him run into it? I responded by notifying her that would not work. As a result of the situation and my response, the two other kind ladies surrounding her laughed behind my back. I kindly wish that none of you ever have to look after a child with additional needs every day of your life and if you do I hope you are not laughed because based on your ignorance you would not have the mental capacity to cope with it. As for the Doctor, I cannot fault his kindness and patience. If it had not been for the Doctor’s previous persistence and knowledge my child would have never been accepted for a paediatric assessment. It’s a shame the faces at the entrance have made me not want to set foot in this surgery again.

    As someone who struggles with social anxiety I have had nothing but great respect and treatment from this surgery. Reception have been kind and helpful and gone above and beyond. I was unsure how to proceed with an issue and was not only helped with this but provided additional information and advised to make an appointment to help get this resolved quickly. I cannot thank all the staff enough. Of every doctors surgeries I have been with this has been the most outstanding service.

    I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Manor Surgery. I recently found out I was pregnant and the first call with the GP was very pleasant and helpful. I also explained that I was feeling a bit nervous about the maternity review that’s going on at NUH and they listened and also provided some practical advice eg you could always go to another hospital etc. So it was really nice to feel like I was being listened to and my concerns were not seen as me being a bit dramatic. I’ve found the practice to be super helpful since then. At my booking appointment my midwife couldn’t take my bloods properly so I rang the surgery and they got me in really quickly to have this done. The phlebotomist was so lovely and managed to get the blood straight away. I didn’t feel like I was wasting her time and she also was reassuring by saying that if the midwives struggle to get blood, I can always go to the surgery instead to have it done. These may seem like really small things but they genuinely make a huge difference and mean a lot. I feel like I have the support of the surgery, especially at a time with where the maternity services are under so much pressure and scrutiny. I feel very lucky to be with this surgery!

    I had concerns over my Blood pressure from using an otc unit from Boots and consulting with doctor this was resolved by a daily pressure check using a practice unit on loan. Normal blood pressure was concluded and no medication needed.
