Review titled Physio- amazing
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 November 2024
Called to book an on the day appointment with a GP due to a sports injury. They had no GP appoints available, but offered me one with a physio, who was fantastic and perhaps more appropriate to deal with my issue. The physio put me at ease, was very knowledgeable and thorough. Thankyou!

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to feedback. We are really pleased the Physiotherapist was able to help you in a timely way. Our new Primary Care Practitioners are helping patients across a number of areas such as medicine enquiries, muscle and bone issues, minor ailments, and many more. They are expert in their areas and are helping a great deal of patients on a daily basis, and are an integral part of the Practice team. Thank you again for such lovely feedback and we promise to pass this on to the team. Thanks, Rakesh Marwaha, Managing Partner

Review titled Couldn't be better
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mrs Ostrich - Posted on 31 October 2024
Today I had to have a consultation with a senior G.P. at the Moir Practice in Long Eaton. This was not the first time seeing this G.P. as my husband also saw the same doctor for a rather unusual and rare complaint. My queries re his condition were taken seriously and acted upon during his consultation, including an immediate hospital phone call. This was in spite of me having played doctor on the internet. (As an example of how not to deal with questions about very rare conditions I did the same thing with my pet's vet during Covid. I was literally laughed at for my lay person's diagnosis. After video evidence and their call to a vet specialist much humble pie had to be eaten.) There was none of this arrogance with the doctor today, who listened, discussed and explained without any eye on the clock. Well not that I was aware of. I deserved a good telling off for neglecting things for a very long time. I didn't get one. Only 100% support. You could not ask for more . I know what pressure G.P.s are under so thank you for your time and kindness. The Care Navigators are also so lovely and friendly whenever you speak to them in person or on the telephone.

Review titled Broken
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Matt Rose - Posted on 16 July 2024
I went into the surgery asking for help after suffering for years, I finally got the courage to go there and face my issue, after a blood test I booked an appointment for a follow-up only to be advised that I should take antidepressants and it's all in my head. I will continue to suffer in silence and have no trust whatsoever for any doctors anymore but thanks for the effort. I will only go back to the doctors if i lost the ability to think for myself. Thank you for your time.

Review titled Great Practice but better layout of waiting room required
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anon - Posted on 06 June 2024
I suffer with vestibular disorder/migraines. One of the triggers can be bright lights. I was surprised to see that in Moir Medical centre Long Eaton the waiting room has a major sized strip light that is exceptionally bright. This intensified my major headaches that I was already suffering from (due to side effects of new medication). Could this light be removed or as the TV display does not appear to ever work. Can the chairs be faced towards the treatment rooms, so that patients with photophobia can have some relaxed area to sit whilst waiting for their appointment.

Thanks for the feedback - we will always look to see where we can improve from every type of feedback and comment, especially where this will assist patients. As suggested we have moved the chairs to face the consulting rooms, and additionally we are looking at how we could soften the lighting method to avoid such issues prior to the TV being used again for patient messages. This should hopefully assist in alleviating some of the symptoms you have mentioned in the post. Thanks again for your feedback.

Review titled Brilliant GP
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sally Watson - Posted on 26 February 2024
I came to see a GP today at the Sawley Surgery. My appointment was 4.15. The lady concerned was absolutely brilliant with me. Listened intently to my problem and told me to book in to the steroid injection clinic at reception. Absolutely made up to find I could have said injection the very next morning. Absolutely made up with the incredibly fast service.
