Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. My name is Harriet Fox and I am the Operations lead at the Surgery. I am very sorry that you have experienced some issues regarding a prescription for your mother and I understand how concerning this is for you and am sorry you feel unable to recommend us as a surgery. All prescriptions received are dealt with within 3 working days and we apologise if 1 has been overlooked/mislaid somehow. Please could you contact the surgery and ask for me so that we can investigate this if you are still having an issue. We recommend that prescriptions are requested using the NHS app. The only time we do not issue medication requested is if it is not due, has been stopped by a clinician[of which the patient should be aware] or if a medication review has been requested and is still overdue [non compliance]. Again I apologise if you had a problem, please don't hesitate to contact me directly if the prescription is still outstanding or you need to discuss this further. I can be contacted at the surgery on 01304367459 or via email [FAO Harriet Fox] at manorroadsurgery.deal@nhs.net Thank you for alerting me to your issue. Harriet Fox, Operations lead

Review titled Lack of appointments
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2025
There seems to be a constant lack of appointments available, which is strange seen as when I do manage to get an appointment there’s only ever one other person there two max, when I've tried to ring up before 9am there’s no appointments available even after then no emergency ones available either, so what use does a doctor surgery have when patients can’t be seen, I’ve been to the doctors hub more times than I’ve seen my doctor, I’ve constantly been back for blood test to see what’s wrong nothing comes up so then it’s shoved off and nothing gets done about it, so I’ve still got an ongoing unresolved problem, I’m disappointed in the system. Don’t get me wrong though the doctors are lovely and polite but I feel some listen more than others.

Dear Patient . My name is Harriet and I am the Operations Lead at the Practice. Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulties getting an appointment. Unfortunately appointments are always in very high demand. We usually only have 1 GP and 2 nurses available each day ,which is why there are often very few people in the waiting room, and the same day appointments get filled very quickly. We have got a second GP who now works 2 days a week so that we can offer more appointments. In the case of an emergency we would advise patients to phone NHS 111 , 999 or go directly to A and E or if not as urgent then the hub at Deal hospital. We recommend all our patients fill in an online consultation [econsult] via the website which would be addressed within 48 hours or there are also options for less severe problems eg sore throats, coughs, earaches etc, to be dealt with by the local pharmacies. If your problem is still unresolved and you haven’t been able to speak to the GP or you wish to discuss this further, then please don’t hesitate to contact me via the practice email [still currently manorroadsurgery.deal@nhs.net] or by asking to speak to me on 01304367495. Thank you again for your feedback . Harriet Fox, Operations Lead.
