Always feel cared for and given the best possible attention. Very reasonable wait times and helpful, sound advice from reception too. We are very fortunate to be part of this GP practise

I had an appointment with the mental nurse today. Great person to speak to, who also offered good advice that I’ll follow up.

  3. Review titled Excellent young doctor

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I talked with a young doctor who was very knowledgeable and showed good understanding of my problem. His analysis was empathic and he never made me feel he wanted to rush through my session so he could quickly move on to the next. The situation was not completely resolved, perhaps, in the way I was expecting but good advice was given and an open door left to reconsider in the future. Overall an excellent visit.

  4. Review titled Trustworthy &helpful GP Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have lived in the area for almost 10 years and have always had very good experience with the New Mill St surgery, staff always helpful on the phone and our previous GP(now retired) was an excellent diagnostician. The new GP is equally conscientious. Phone and in person appointments are generally available within a few days.

  5. Review titled insightful diagnosis

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was experiencing a great deal of pain in my back along with the inability to urinate properly. I secured a telephone consultation with a doctor at Mill Street Surgery to take place within a few days via a cancellation. When the doctor called I expressed my fear that I had a bladder or kidney problem. He advised me he would look into this and call me back. He called back asking me to come to the surgery to collect a letter and go to A&E at St Thomas Hospital early the following day, requesting an MRI scan. The following week I returned to St Thomas’s where I was informed I had Critical stenosis and would need urgent spinal surgery. The operation, successfully, took place at Guys hospital 7 weeks later. Thanks to the doctor’s dedication to examining my records and to have gone back ten years to deduce the true cause of my pain and how critical I had become to me was outstanding enough. To then push me into the best hospital that had the best spinal team was insightful. Without the spinal operation my future was very bleak. My heartfelt thanks to him and all at The Mill Street Surgery.
