    Had an appointment recently, which i had put off for several months due to the lack of availability for non urgent appointments. I was finally seen by a GP i didnt recognise, he was rude, very unsympathetic and lacked in patient care! I am a nurse and would never have treated my patients with such lack of empathy or care. His attitude was appalling ! I am now thinking of leaving the surgery.

    Very helpful receptionist called me back + arranged appointment to see gp as soon as one became available later that day.

    Waited about 5 weeks for a non urgent phone appointment which was fine however because you are not given a time for your appointment I was really worried about missing my slot. Dr called earlier than I anticipated and I couldn't get to my phone quickly enough so missed the call. Reception told me I would be called again but I then spent the next few hours being worried that Dr would call when I was driving (no Bluetooth). It would be really helpful if a time or even a time slot could be given for phone appointments as you do feel that you have to make yourself available all day at the moment. Coincidentally I had a hospital phone appointment due the following day. The hospital gave a time for the call and called me bang on time. This was a lot less stressful as I had a good idea when I would be called. It would be great if the practise could do the same please. As far the Dr was concerned, I did feel a little rushed and she spoke very quickly leaving few gaps for any questions however I achieved what I needed to from the call. I've always found staff at the practise whether medical or reception, to be helpful.
