Review titled Horrible Practice Inadequate Support
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 November 2024
The experience I had today (15/11/2024) is not the first. I have been continuously coming back to this GP for advice regarding painful periods and the impact it has been having on my body and time and time again I feel ignored and unheard with my matters. I spoke with one of the Doctors this morning and as mentioned in my request earlier this week, I had the name of some pills ready to hand to discuss that I have been told about by people older than me and the nurses at work. I knew that these pills may not be best suited to me but I wanted to inquire about them because I’m just trying to seek help and find new ways to ease the pain and sickness I experience. The Doctor who I spoke with didn’t have the courtesy to ask back “how are you” after I had asked her, she continuously spoke over me and when I did speak there was sighing in the background, she disregarded any suggestion I made but then also did not provide me with any other pill suggestion although I had stated I’m not looking towards the coil or injection. Also, when I told her some suggestions i’ve been given by the Paediatric Nurses I work with she said “you have to remember they’re great at what they do but they’re not experts”. Despite me knowing this is true, her tone when she said that was quite condescending regarding this specifically but quite cold and hurried throughout our entire conversation. She told me that she will book me in with a colleague because she finds me hostile and impolite and I responded “no that’s not the case I’m just really upset I feel like you haven’t listened” she hysterically laughed and said “well I have”. Near the End of the conversation so asked for her name and said is it spelt … and when it was wrong she said “no it’s…” and spelt it, quite quickly, said “you can find it on the website” and hung up very quickly. I feel like I have experienced having an unproductive and unhelpful conversation this morning, I feel that no one is listening or having empathy of my situation and numerous people I’ve spoken to have just concluded to offer me something that will stop my period entirely. I think that before a Doctor tried to remind patients of themselves they should acknowledge how they have approached the conversation and how that could’ve made patients feel with can inflict a change in their tone; yes my attitude changed within the conversation but I was not once rude to staff, I was a little annoyed by being talked over and so said “sorry can I stop you there” and as I was continuously disregarded anyway, I sighed and started speaking shakily as I quickly realised I’m not being offered adequate support. The doctor seemed very irritated by my enquiries and did not appear as though she wanted to be at work today because of her attitude throughout the conversation.

Review titled Great Doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Guley - Posted on 13 November 2024
Hello so, today which is the 12th of November I had this excruciating pain on my neck which is a muscle pull and I’m so great full to have gone to the gp where I had a really good doctor and now I feel so much better. Thank you so much 🙏. However it is disappointing that although I spent a whole day at Barnet hospital the doctor couldn’t say anything about it.

Review titled Poor gp response
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Poor gp no examination - Posted on 23 October 2024
Had double apointment booked last week which didn't materialise so was rebooted for today however gp didn't even examination just typed away on her pc told to take over counter pain medication and wear supportive underwear. You can imagine someone who has been in pain for many months and no diagnosis I felt and left very despondent. As a cancer patient in past was not taken on board. Just don't know now how to proceed

Review titled Doctor makes a difference
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kingsley Ofori - Posted on 22 May 2024
Had a call from the Dr.today at exactly 12pm on the 22nd of may 2024 about my knee problem and was surprised at how much she went the extra mile to help me feel comfortable. She even called back a again in some few minutes after our first conversation. What a difference and reassurance it made to my telephones consultation today. Big ups to her.

A very lovely woman at our GP service was exceptional. Her kindness and professionalism shone through as she efficiently assisted us with a challenging issue concerning a special needs child. Her compassionate approach and clear guidance made a stressful situation manageable. We are incredibly grateful for her outstanding support. Highly recommend her and the service to anyone in need.

Review titled Worse service
Rated 1 star out of 5

As a person who struggle with anxiety. This practice is not place anyone should go for help. I have a problem which needs an ultra sound which was recommended by the GP I saw last week. Everyday I have to chase them up to find out if it was sent. Received a text message saying my referral was sent to a particular establishment. When I contacted that particular place, they say they don't have anything about me. Ok! I proceeded to contact the practice receptionist. I was quickly rushed of the phone and told that was a mistake. Mind you, I have been on pain all this time as I told them the pain killers aren't working. How could admin staff make a mistake in sending a referral for an ultra sound ??? I decided to go in and ask if I can get a referral to a walk in clinic so that I can get help quicker. I was told to go home and call back the surgery (am standing in front of these reception staff) they will see what they can do. I also work on the nhs. I am sure I cannot treat a patient the way I was treated

Review titled Absolute Appalling Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Avoid this GP Practice. It’s the worst GP Practice I have ever had the misfortune to be exposed to. Avoid this GP Practice completely. Receptionist are all rude. Practice manager even ruder. The entire staff is just simply disgusting. Medical care forget it. It would take me the rest of the year to write how incompetent, rude, unhelpful, unapproachable, fiesty and loud indiscreet, aggressive the entire staff are. As an NHS worker myself, I am totally disgusted by the way patients are treated at this GP Practice. My entire family have been traumatised by treatment by staff, at this GP Practice.

Review titled Terrible practice

Terrible practice, tried for over a month for an appointment which you can never get! Told to do and e consult which they never got back to me and I was provided with a reference, receptionist have no compassion and very argumentative and always try and talk over you. And when you finally get an appt which is suppose to be with a doctor and they book you with a nurse. Had an appt for 8:15 checked in no one informed me the nurse was running late until I went to reception 30 mins later to be told she's stuck in traffic and they don't know how long she will be thats not good practice if you are booking patients in for 8:15 make sure your there!!! always the same problem with morning appts! Practice has gone down hill i can't believe there still open with all these bad reviews

Review titled Blood test reception
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Violet Murray - Posted on 27 May 2023
I had to go for a blood test without eating or drinking, so I asked for earliest appointment, my appointment was 8:15 am. I arrived at 8:10 waited at reception, ignored so I called out my name and said I’m here for a blood test and went and waited in reception, At 8:30 am my name still hadn’t come up on the telly so I went back to reception as I heard somebody else booking in for bloods and thought I would lose my place, totally frustrating visit so unnecessary to cause me stress like that when I already had to have three separate appointments because they didn’t listen to me on the phone When I was trying to tell them what bloods I needed to have. Lord forbid a patient knowing what they actually need. Stressful and frustrating

Dear Ms Murray, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you are not happy with the service you have received. We will use your comments as a learning point to help improve the service we offer our patients. Reviewing your records, I can see that you had an appointment at 8:15 am, you were arrived by our receptionist at 8:19 and marked as a leaver by our Nurse at 8:31. The surgery has recently reinstalled our patient check in screen to use, as we understand that the reception desk can get busy during peak times. I am happy for you to contact me directly to discuss further. Yours sincerely Mario Paschalides Practice Manager
