Review titled Efficient and friendly practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Samantha Hyslop - Posted on 27 August 2024
I have had cause to visit the surgery more on the last year than I have in the previous 10 years. But every time I visit I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. Waiting times are always short and the surgery feels very efficient. I had an appointment earlier today and the doctor was so friendly and reassuring, I left the appointment feeling much better and less concerned. The e-consult service has really helped speed things up and it is great that minor things can be treated without wasting too much of a doctors’ time.

Review titled Great Practice, even better doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jan Murray - Posted on 11 July 2024
Just back from the practice having had a steroid injection in my knee and can honestly say it hurt less than when I have had a Harley Street specialist perform the same procedure (and I am already feeling relief from the pain). Apparently not allowed to name the doc which is a shame but can only recommend

Review titled Caring, Professional, informative
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Daniel dawson - Posted on 19 June 2024
The doctor called me at my request, he had to provide not great news but he made sure I understood what I needed to know and he went above and beyond to explain things. Not once did I feel rushed. So based on this doctors bedside manner I am very glad to be with Pall Mall Surgery.

Review titled Wonderful GP
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mary Avery - Posted on 22 June 2024
I had an appointment with my GP who is so caring and professional. He was very thorough and understood everything that I was going through. I’m so thankful and really hope that the treatment that he suggested is successful. He is someone I can completely trust.

Review titled Broken system
Rated 1 star out of 5

2nd time unable to get an appointment despite filling out numerous forms and calling up (obviously told to then fill out another form). “We strive to improve health and wellbeing and people's experiences of the NHS. everyone counts.” The first time I had cancer and 2nd time pneumonia. Luckily able to go privately instead but significant issues before then which is not what you need when you are ill. What is the purpose of this place other than to get people to fill out loads of online forms and then get the qualified staff to review those forms? I would have thought a better use of time would be to see patients.

Review titled Used to be a great practice
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 April 2024
This use to be a fantastic practice with kind , caring emphatic doctors , the only practitioner I have seen recently that has a bedside manner was a fantastic nurse practicioner who listened to my teenager daughter and acted on her concerns accordingly , my own experience within the practice has resulted in me no longer seeking care and hoping for the best as previous Econsults have resulted in appointments weeks after the issue arises and a+e attendance or telephone consultations where it’s rushed and at times difficult to explain what the issue is without actually showing someone . My daughter had a reoccurring issue which at times it was suggested she was lying about and that there was nothing wrong with her yet subsequently a referral to ENT proved otherwise how are people with no one to advocate for them suppose to get the correct care ? What happened to having a regular doctor? this practice has a revolving door of new faces and you are lucky to see the same dr twice how does this provide any continuity of care ? it’s no wonder you wait forever for an appointment when it’s still taking on patients yet what is fascinating is when you are lucky enough to finally get a face to face appointment you walk in and have a choice of seat as there is no one else in the waiting room . I have been a patient of this surgery many years and have often over them years praised the surgery for the exemplary service that it has provided to myself and family members however now i feel it has become an example of the failings within the NHS . It seems as some of the older doctors retired at this practice the standards it held itself to retired with them

Review titled E-consult is awful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 April 2024
The e-consult is an awful way to request an appointment. It definitely puts me off requesting an appointment. Last week I filled the form in and it said I needed urgent advice. On triage the following day, I was given an appointment for 12 days later. My symptoms have now worsened so I rang this morning to be told I have to fill the form in again! I refuse to go through all that again and will be looking for a new GP. There are multple other examples of times I would have liked to see a doctor but haven't due to that form. It's quicker to change GP surgery than to request a single appointment!
