    The Panton practice has been deteriorating over the last few years. It’s impossible to get an appointment you can never speak to anyone. Only option is to complete an online triage form. I then received an sms to make an appointment and was advised next available appointment 4 weeks. I’m absolutely disgusted with the way the practice does not want to see patients anyone. I’m currently awaiting investigations at Bournemouth Hospital next appoint there is 9 months to have heart tests. The NHS is failing all patients and people are going undiagnosed as a result. The Panton Practice has a duty of care to its patients and it’s failing in this

    Dear Mr Craine Thank you for your feedback, we had discussed the elements of your comments on the telephone on Thursday 24th August. I believed at that point I gave you an explanation and offered an appointment slightly earlier than the one with the specific GP you requested. Also on that call I was unable to answer the questions around the long wait for the NHS hospital appointment. I had passed all your comments you mentioned in your telephone call to Dr Graham. If you feel you wish to discuss your matter in more depth, please do write to us and we will investigate further, or as you remarked in our conversation you were going to write to the Dorset ICB.     I use the practice for my whole family - they respond very quickly I’d it’s emergency, they point us to right directions, they are up to date with our records always and keep reminding us if need to do asthma reviews etc. My children were always diagnosed correctly and prescribed proper medication as well as refer to specialists if necessary, as well as us adults. I wasn’t keen on eConsult for the first time suggested to use, but it works really well and always getting responses ! I am also big fan of cancelling appointments if they are no longer needed and really don’t understand how the others can not follow this rule!? The practice has a schedule of how many appointments and bourse were wasted by the other patients not letting them know they won’t be present and no wonder that lots of patients complain about waiting time as they are probably also one of those who don’t bother to call to cancel! Grrr! Anyway, the practice in general is a great place to be part of and I am very lucky being in the area for nearly 15years and having chance to rely on them when needed! Thank you so much for many years of excellent services for my whole family! Keep up great work as this is highly appreciated!

    I needed an appointment for my autistic adult son , the e consultation is difficult and time consuming it is assumed you have a smart phone, I dont ,I used my pad to take a pic. And put the link it into a browser , because I didnt do it on the same day the link wouldnt work, the text couldnt be replied to , so I had to visit again to find out what to do.

    After completion of e consult and being advised to phone surgery I received a text within 25 minutes to phone for an appointment. I was seen early in the afternoon and prescription provided promptly. All the staff are very friendly and efficient.

    I’d like to recognise cm at the Gervis Road Practice who has been fantastic with my recent visits with her. She is patient and puts me at ease by explaining my test results and next steps. She makes me feel reassured and that I’m in good hands. Would fully recommend her and very thankful with the way she has treated me.

    I had the misfortune of having to speak to lady receptionist who was very patronising on the phone when trying to book an appointment for my young son. I can't fault the GPs, but certain reception staff need training on how to speak to people!

    I cannot speak highly enough about the treatment I recently received at the Gervis Road practice. After suffering severe pain in my shoulder for some time, I made an appointment and was seen by the Paramedic Practitioner. After telling him all about my symptoms he said he would arrange for me to have an X-ray and see a physiotherapist. I left the surgery and was on my way home when my phone rang. It was the surgery’s receptionist to say an appointment had been made for me later that week to see the physiotherapist. Within ten minutes of arriving home I received a second phone call, this time from the hospital, to say an appointment had been made for me to have an X-ray. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly things were happening. A few days later I had my X-ray and was even more surprised when, the very next day, the surgery’s Paramedic Practitioner sent me a text with the results and his suggestions for my next step. I just want to say a very sincere thank you for his very speedy response to my problem. I can now look forward hopefully, to feeling more comfortable, if not completely pain free, soon.
