  1. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Been registered at this surgery most of my life and service has gone down drastically in the past two years. The doctors for the most part have been caring and helpful, but that’s only if you can get through to them. Many of the receptionists have no idea what they are doing, particularly some of the younger ones that have joined more recently. I have had forms lost, and been refused appointments after calling multiple days in a row as soon as the surgery opens. If you fill in an e-consultation they will call you back hours later to tell you there’s no more appointments and to call 111. A family member called to discuss this and found out they had lied to me about the next available appointment being in two weeks when one was available in six days. Very disappointing as my family have been with this practice for many years, and I am now stuck with this awful service as many other GPs refuse to prescribe my medications due to differing rules.

  2. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

Why is it so difficult to see a Doctor. Tried phoning for an appointment and get told to phone morning or afternoon. I have tried on numerous occasions and there is a lot of people already waiting in the queue. I ring spot on the time the phone lines open, loads of people are already waiting. Yet every time I go in there the waiting room is empty. Such a shame it has gone down hill.

  3. Review titled Unhelpful receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called the reception for a sick note as I had stomach bug and was really awful for me. I needed for my university and the receptionist said i need to pay £25 and will be ready in 3 weeks. I am womdering how your sicknotes policy works as other people that i know got one on the same day for however and whatever they needed to? As soon as she heard i am mot working, her attitude became more rude, she asked me to pop in ( with diareea and voma) to fill up a request. Seriously????!!!!! And with a baby i had to take care of home. I don t know who she is, but all my respect for the other receptionists who really are helpful, prompt ( the young receptionists) and nice. But this one is extremely rude, such a shame for such a person the entire surgery have to get bad reviews. I got a private sick note from a private doctor who was able to understand and provide it in no time. Such a shame we contribute to healthcare system but have to go privately in order to solve our issues.

  4. Review titled Impossible to see a doctor.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

At beginning of August 2003y, my back was very itchy, so I rang Phoenix Practice up at 9.40 am, the nurse said brooking is full, asked me to call back next day. So I did, the receptionist asked me to go to pharmacy to get medication suggested by the pharmacy. The pharmacy gave me the Hydrocortisone cream 1%to apply, there was no effects for 14 days application. I rang the surgery again, the receptionist asked me to wait for the doctor's phone call. When a doctor called me back, he just asked me went to the pharmacy to get two 100g menthol 5%in Agueous creams but he did not even asked me what was the cause! Now it is more than six months, my back was still itching, the skin becomes very rough. I know that is why the E & I department of the hospital so busy. People can not see their doctors in surgeries, so they got no choice, but only go to the E & I.
