Review titled Not a reliable surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Lorraine Martin - Posted on 27 February 2023
As I write. My husband is trying to get through on the phone to this surgery. Now 30 minutes. Yet again his repeat prescription request has not reached the pharmacist after a week. He is diabetic and on insulin. My husband rang Friday to report to the surgery that his meds not at the pharmacy so the gentleman he spoke to said he would put it through as urgent. Not there Saturday afternoon still. This seems to be a regular occurrence now with this surgery once they admitted that my husbands request/details were all deleted. I changed from this practice many years ago and it’s the best thing I ever did. My husband stayed with them. They cannot keep blaming lockdown, sickness, computer errors or pharmacy for their errors. All surgeries are having troubles coping but it appears this one is near the top of the list for the worse. Seriously consider other practices in your area before registering with this one. Ps. Husband given up holding on phone. Needs insulin prescription and other meds. He has just rang the pharmacist and told still not there and also informed that other patients of the surgery who also requested repeat prescription over a week ago are not there also!!!! Has it not occurred to this surgery that there incoming calls would be less if they did their jobs appropriately? Also cut down calls to other services as these repeat prescriptions are mostly life saving medications.

We are very sorry to hear that your husband has had trouble contacting the surgery to sort out his repeat medication. Unfortunately the Phone lines are busy, however we do have other online communication options via Ask First and the NHS App. Please contact the practice manager who will be happy to look into this for you. Many Thanks
