Review titled Worst experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2024
I had an appointment for blood test for my child and the nurse was unable to do it because my little one cried and the nurse said I have to make another appointment and to bring someone with me to help hold down the kid soo she can take the blood. How many people need to come for blood test appointment with their kids? How many days we need to take off from jobs to solve our kids problem? If there is a life-threatening situation what will this nurse do if she cannot even get blood for a blood test? I suggest you don't make any appointment to take blood test for kids there if you don't have experienced people. As parents we lose our time, and our time cost money aswell.

Review titled Only use if you don't have a job
Rated 1 star out of 5

There is no way to speak to someone here without waiting hours on hold or even more hours for a call back. They will not manage your health information, no one seems to know what's happening and even when you can see notes on their terrible app (Dr iQ) the practice can't seem to see them. You cannot make an appointment in advance, they will not allow it You must call on the morning, wait on hold (approximate hold time 2-3 hours) and then be told if you won the appointment lottery for the day. If you work and need to plan for routine care, like a blood test or blood pressure check, you cannot do so. You will need to take at least the entire day off and hope you get an appointment. I have also arrived for my appointment to find the person I was seeing had no idea what I was there for. This has happened on three different occasions in the last year. Also mistakes in medical records have been made and no one picks this up, you need to be on your toes and constantly checking. This is a terrible surgery and should be avoided at all cost. I recognize the reception staff do their best, but the practice is mismanaged so badly they don't stand a chance. This kind of practice is the reason so many people end up having to go to A&E for basic medical care.

Review titled No doctors! Telephone appointment with advisors only
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Prithpal - Posted on 27 July 2024
Date of appointment: July 26th 2024 Telephone appointment time 3.40pm In the morning we called for an emergency appointment but at this practice, they never give an appointment time straight away. They keep you waiting for hours and then eventually you’ll get an ‘telephone appointment’ time via text. Does that mean you stop everything you’re doing and plan your day around the surgery? Is this practical? We’ve moved twice in the last two years and the 2 previous practices always gave the appointment time on the phone immediately. We waiting several hours and finally around 1pm they messaged to say a telephone consultation will take place 3.40pm. No one called at 3.40pm. At 4.20pm we went to the practice (which is a minute away from our house) and asked for an update. The rude receptionist said the appointment time is just a ‘guide’ and it could take hours to actually receive said call. Wife asked for a face to face appointment as a telephone appointment isn’t appropriate for antibiotics related issue. Patient needs to be checked properly but the reception didn’t understand that and responded rudely with ‘there’s too many patients’ and ‘Are you really ready to wait for hours to see the Dr?’ ‘There’s no guarantee you’ll see a Dr!’ Does the practice actually have any Doctors? We’ve never seen any. Is it unreasonable to ask to see a Dr for antibiotics if really unwell? We’re going on a summer holiday in a few days and we have a baby so it’s important to be healthy enough to travel with all the responsibilities that a family trip abroad demands. 5.25pm call came through: No Dr on the phone. Not sure who we spoke to. Just told it was from the practice. The advisor prescribed antibiotics without checking lungs, throat, and not really understanding which other antibiotics wife is allergic to. We won’t be collecting the prescribed antibiotics just incase they cause a bad reaction. This is clearly a poor and unsatisfactory service that has been provided. My wife is still really unwell and we have spent thousands on our summer vacation which is very likely to be disrupted by poor health - simply because we couldn’t see a Dr.

Dear Prithpral, I sincerely apologise for the experience you had regarding your wife's appointment and the frustrations surrounding the process. It’s clear that you encountered significant delays and a lack of communication, which is not acceptable. I understand how important it is to have timely access to healthcare, especially when preparing for a family trip. Waiting several hours for a telephone appointment only to be disappointed by the outcome is incredibly frustrating. Your feedback about the difficulty in obtaining a face-to-face consultation when it was clearly needed is also noted. I reached out to you and gave you an explanation on this matter. We want to make sure your concerns are heard, and we are committed to improving our service. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I hope your wife feels better soon.

Review titled Disgraceful Experience
Rated 1 star out of 5

I visited the practice yesterday due to feeling unwell for a long time and requiring a sick note as I am unfit to work. However, the individual who assessed me, whom I believe was not a doctor, was unable to provide the sick note due to system limitations. She directed me to the receptionist, who after some delay mentioned it would take time. She suggested sending it via message or email, but it never happened. When I contacted the practice and waited on hold for over an hour, the person who answered instructed me to call back the next day to schedule an appointment with a doctor. I find it unfair that I am asked to call again when the issue lies with their system malfunction. This lack of communication or transparency is unacceptable. It is concerning that the staff seem unaware of what they can and cannot access. I have reported this to the Health Ombudsman as I feel that the clinic is not taking people's health seriously. The receptionist's unprofessionalism in handling the situation is disappointing and needs to be addressed.

Review titled Excellent response time and support
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Krisztina Csajbok - Posted on 10 April 2024
I encountered a slight issue with the practice, but the manager stepped in and handled it exceptionally well. She helped me book an urgent appointment with the doctor, which I needed for a sick note and a referral to a specialist to understand my health issues and hopefully recover quickly. I'm grateful to the manager and the wonderful doctor for their help and support. It's crucial to be understanding when you're sick; we may become irritable because we're in pain, but ultimately, we all seek to be healthy and happy. So, thank you once again for your support and assistance. My apologies for not being able to remove the previous review. Best wishes, KCs

Review titled Unprofessional

I rang for an appointment at the surgery. I was told there wasn’t any and should ring back Monday. I asked to speak to a doctor as I am diabetic. The man hung up on me. I rang back to say his behaviour was very rude and asked for his name. He hung up again. This is unacceptable behaviour which should be dealt with.

You can never get an appointment, iv been ringing up everyday at 8am for months to get one they are always all gone, yet I changed to a different surgery on the 2nd and iv already been given an appointment for the 8th, you need to change the way you do appointments it's disgusting, the last appointment i got for my daughter I had to ring 111 to book it because the surgery would not give me one for a skin infection which can be serious if left, I understood doing this when we had covid but everywhere else is back to normal except here it's disgraceful

Review titled Awful service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Erum Ailia - Posted on 03 August 2023
Absolutely everything is so difficult when dealing with this surgery, from getting appointments, fit notes, medications and even callbacks! Everytime I become aware I need to deal with them I get anxious and frustrated because so many things go wrong repeatedly. Even some of the GPs are difficult to deal with and I dread having to call them. Getting an appointment is already difficult because you first have to be able to get connected at 8am on the dot otherwise so the phone just disconnects when the line is busy to finally getting through after waiting for a long time to then be told call to back tomorrow as they have no appointments left! I spoke to a GP on Monday for a prescription already given to me by my private GP but because I'm out of work, I cannot afford to keep paying extortionate fees. I provided all information on Monday and have still not heard back despite chasing with the admin team. I am suffering with these symptoms which is very upsetting because I cannot do anything except wait. All they need to do is prescribe the medication as I'd already sent the private prescription to the GP and had a further consultation with him. What's taking so long? Why not update us?
