    I have an ongoing problem with pins and needles in my hands, partly my fault its not sorted, just learned to live with it, think it needs sorting as the condition hampers my enjoyment of learning to play guitar and riding my motorbike. I went to the doctors surgery for a blood pressure check up, which incidentally was fine, came out with a referral to a specialist to look into my pins and needles, referred to hospital for a blood test, my age dictates a look at my cholesterol, blood sugar levels, etc, think just keeping an eye in a preventative function. I have been going to the same doctors for 30 years, if they were no good i would have changed, same way I have had bank accounts by most high street banks. I have no complaints whatsoever, same goes for my experiences with NHS hospitals, I never have a problem, more often than not, I am pleasantly surprised at how quick, efficient and on it doctors and nurses within the NHS have been.

    Thank you for sharing your experience of being a patient for 30 years. I am particularly glad that we were able to help you with your problem and hopefully you will be able to continue playing the guitar symptom free. It is also reassuring to hear that you have had a positive experience of using the NHS in terms of its efficiency and speed of being treated.

    It was my 2nd smear test with the same nurse as 3 years ago. My first smear experience wasn’t bad but it was uncomfortable but I also believe as it was my first I wasn’t as relaxed and was quite stressed. Today was my 2nd and overall was a great experience. The nurse was lovely as always and knew I was nervous but made me feel very comfortable. The process was not painful at all and nurse spoke to me the entire time. I ensured I was calm and relaxed as possible and the nurse made this much easier too. She swabbed and I didn’t even realise until she had told me it was all done. Amazing experience from a wonderful nurse. Get your smear, ladies! Also the reception staff and GP’s are the greatest and friendliest at this practice and I have never had any complaints. Wonderful staff.

I have shared your feedback with the practice team including our nurse and am pleased that you have found the team to be friendly. Thank you for encouraging other women to book their smear tests and I hope your positive experience will have an impact. Our nurse has updated her smear technique and reflected on previous patient feedback and I am glad that she was able to make you feel comfortable during your smear test.

    I am a new patient to the practice and I just wanted to share how happy I am with the service and treatment. I have never felt this well looked after as a patient since moving to London 10 years ago. It’s so easy to get appointment, you’re never made to feel like a burden and the care and attention to detail shown by both doctors is wonderful. I really feel cared about and listened to. It’s hard to feel this way when you’re often one of thousands of patients on roll, but I do. Thank you very much. You’ve made me feel comfortable to seek help about things I haven’t previously been able to.

    I called to make an appointment, to find out that I wasn’t registered with this practice anymore. Apparently, NHS had sent a letter to me which had been rejected, meaning I was automatically removed. I have been and still are living at the same address for the last three years, with no issue with my post. No idea why they got the letter returned, as that’s never happened before. But why didn’t they call or email me to check before removing me from the system? Now I had to share proof of address and fill out a form with 61 questions to be able to arrange an appointment. Completely ridiculous system. The person who answered the phone at the practice did what they could to help, so this feedback is directed to the system which could have just added one simple step to sense check their info.

    Trying to be seen almost for a year now and I am tired of the useless discusions with the receptionists. They are not listening and rude. I do not need telephone conversations as my health issues need to be seen and proper examinated. I remember one telephone consultation that took a bit longer and it felt like I was the therapist for the whining doctor. At another telephone consultation the other doctor did not let me finish a sentense and later asked me to send over some pictures of the problem of my skin. I sent over pictures via the link I got but never heard back again. It is not acceptable the way it is been handled regargiding face to face appoinment, it feels like you have to beg or qualify for it to be seen by a doctor. This is not how health care should be and will withdraw from this practice for the sake of my health as this practice is a risk for my health.

    I feel both neglected and not taken seriously. The state of no communication from the practice has left me uncertain, and with a feeling of being an inconvenience, by purely asking for the bare minimum of medical care. After asking for a blood test to be done concerning my hormonal issues around my period after cancer treatment, they agreed and sent me off for the blood tests. I never heard back about results from it, even after checking in via admin requests. Absolute radio silence. Now, nearly 1 1/2 months ago, I asked for a medical form for a self-referral to be filled out. After a week I followed up and have been told it is being processed and they will come back to me, followed by 3 weeks of silence yet again. I understand the workload can be high, but I followed up after this time to ask for more transparency and when I can expect my form to be filled out. Silence. Another 1 1/2 weeks later I decided to go via the appointment system and put in an admin request instead of simply emailing. And yet again, no answers. It would be easier to wait for this to be processed if I hadn't had experiences before where I have been blatantly ignored. Not to mention, someone else I know has had the same experience of trying to book an appointment online and has been met with silence. I am trying to be understanding of high workloads for NHS workers, but a drop of communication would definitely help me feel like I am actually receiving a service, instead of getting the feeling that I will be ignored until I take my medical issues somewhere else.
