    Last 2 days I’m trying to get an appointment to see the doctor I tried to connect from 8am and more than 30times I tried to connect the call. By 8.20 the call was connected and I was 19 on the queue. When my turn came it was 9 am and they simply said there is no appointment available for today. For an appointment I was on call waiting for an hour but no appointment at the end. I took day off from work to see the doctor. Every time it’s same. Never get appointment when we needed

    Dear Patient, Thank you or your feedback, I am disappointed to read that you didn't receive the service you needed. Our appointment booking policy does include in person advance appointments and on the day if appointments still available. I am sorry that due to high volume of telephone calls, our patients find difficult to reach us on the via telephone soon.     The new NHS app makes it really quick to get in touch with my GP. By filling out the query form I then was notified of my phone consultation which happened and prescription was sent to my pharmacy.This service is really efficient and saved alot of time.

    I’m so fed up with the attitude of staff at the Shrewsbury Road Surgery, I have been a patient for 57 years and within the past year the arguments and hurdles that are in the way of getting answers to text messages when the doctor wants to see you is getting ridiculous. Let me explain my story, after a transverse back fracture and ongoing problems, two weeks ago I was sent for an X-ray at Newham hospital for pain in my groin and leg since the accident. In the meantime I’m booked to have nerve block injections to help my pain at the Holly Hospital which was excellent treatment, Yesterday 5th March, I receive a text message saying I needed to speak to the doctor over the results of my X-ray which I’m sure you can appreciate are important with everything that’s going on. Today the receptionist is making the whole conversation difficult and challenging, I’m being told it will be a month before I can see the doctor, I’m doing my best to be polite and trying to explain my situation but the receptionist is hostile and negative towards me. I just need a phone call or even an email sent to just let me know what’s going on after waiting two weeks already, There needs to be a better system in place so patients can gain access or a call is immediately booked so the Dr can discuss this with the patient or details can be placed on the NHS app that we use only I can see that my X-ray needs to be discussed but there’s no details of the reason behind this. Please can someone listen and take on board the problems we face with the attitude of one of the receptionist and why we have to jump through so many hurdles after you have made contact with the patient over a problem that’s been highlighted. Happy to have a meeting to discuss this further only changes are needed.

    I been there last friday(05/01/24) around 4.30Pm for my son appointment. I said Hi to her she not even reply back and she was ignoring me and she was talking her colleagues inside . Very worst customer service .

    I was just 11 minutes early for my appointment and self check in system didnt work for me, it said contact reception. When I contacted, she told me very rudely to use self check in. I said its not working, she said because I was too early (only 11 mins) for my appointment and rudely told me to sit down and wait. I asked her about weight and height check machine as I came first time to the surgery but she didnt tell me properly where can I do my height and weight. My husband asked her about GP appointment, she asked the reason and straight way told him that he needs to go to newham hospital and dint say anything about gp appointment. How can she suggest that, its doctor's job not hers. Totally disappointed. No kindness and soft tone.

    The only time you can get an appointment is between 10am to 12am. As a person that studies and work, it's common sense to know that I wouldn't be able available in this timeframe (including tons of other patients). I never get a chance to get an appointment and same for the online forms which are no intuitive or accessible at all, it's very hard to navigate on their website and find the right form to only find out that "the form has reached it's daily limit for appointment requests". I would like to genuinely thank the staff and whomever has created this system, me having to take care of my family and having to get their appointments, I am not even able to get a single* appointment for a family of 5. I would like the appointment system to change, whenever I even get the chance to ring, I am told that there is no queue system on calls so I have to ring over and over again to even get a chance to talk to someone. Please the least I want is to be referred to a different GP that has a better appointment booking system.

To further assist, we do offer pre-bookable appointments up to 2 weeks in advance, which can help with planning ahead. Additionally, if you're unable to get through on our lines, NHS 111 also offers direct booking for appointments when you call them, providing another option for patients in need of urgent care. As mentioned, e-consult requests for medical issues and appointments can be submitted during surgery hours and are typically responded to within 2 working days, depending on capacity. We also provide enhanced access in the evenings and on Saturdays to offer more flexibility for patients with busy schedules. We understand that the system may feel difficult at times, but we're always here to assist and are committed to improving access to care. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any further help navigating the system.     Tried calling to book an appointment to see a doctor, no one answers the phone during the hour time slot to book an appointment, tried going online and the system will not let you book an appointment, don't get sick often and every time they have changed the way you book an appointment, can't do it by phone, can't do it on line and the my gp app won't let you do in. Guess i will have to just go in to reception and ask for an appointment.

    Dear Mr Allum, Thanks for your feedback and I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience of making an appointment. Our phone lines for the options appointments including pre bookable and queries are always answered promptly. Appointments are opened up to 2 weeks ahead to book online using NHS app/Patient access. Having online access to book appointments does not guarantee that there will always be an appointment to book as other patients with online access may have already booked the available appointments. For insight at certain times we are under great pressure that we cannot always accommodate every patient who would like to consult a GP on same day. However, we do offer alternatives, such as online appointments, telephone appointments, pre-bookable appointment, E-consults and late evening and weekend appointments.
