Tried calling to book an appointment to see a doctor, no one answers the phone during the hour time slot to book an appointment, tried going online and the system will not let you book an appointment, don't get sick often and every time they have changed the way you book an appointment, can't do it by phone, can't do it on line and the my gp app won't let you do in. Guess i will have to just go in to reception and ask for an appointment.

Dear Mr Allum, Thanks for your feedback and I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience of making an appointment. Our phone lines for the options appointments including pre bookable and queries are always answered promptly. Appointments are opened up to 2 weeks ahead to book online using NHS app/Patient access. Having online access to book appointments does not guarantee that there will always be an appointment to book as other patients with online access may have already booked the available appointments. For insight at certain times we are under great pressure that we cannot always accommodate every patient who would like to consult a GP on same day. However, we do offer alternatives, such as online appointments, telephone appointments, pre-bookable appointment, E-consults and late evening and weekend appointments. I cannot praise this surgery highly enough. I've always found it easy to get an appointment when needed. The doctors and nurses are very good with the telephone and face to face reviews and I've found that we get an appointment either the same day for urgent problems or within a week or so for less urgent problems. They have implemented lots of options to make the appointments. The staff are all very kind and empathetic. I've been with this practice for 10 years now and have since registered my children here too, the care is fantastic. Contacted the surgery regarding a condition and to enquire about the situation and procedure for attending the surgery. I was called back later the same day and arranged a 'telephone consultation' with one of the doctors. As a result of the telephone consultation I was given an appointment to attend the surgery later the same day. I attended the surgery at the appointed time but had to wait a little while to be seen; of course everything slowed down by the covid controls being in place. I was examined by the Doctor, discussed the problem and medical history and as a result I was referred to a Hospital Consultant. I now await details from the hospital. Once again and in my experience as always, great service, action and communication by all those at the surgery. Could not have asked for anything better, so thanks to all concerned.

For my first consultation with the practice I am impressed. The Doctor took time to listen and advise accordingly. I didn’t feel rushed and they went through things in detail with me. Overall very pleased so far.

GP surgery booked an appointment for me, given that I was having trouble doing this online. Much appreciate their help and speedy response, whilst also following up on my blood test results, reassuring that it was all fine. Staff members were very kind, directed me to the right place and even took me to the blood test area, as I couldn’t find my way. I admire their patience and care into a single patient like myself, not many public services do this for individual patients.
