  1. Review titled Awful service

Rated 1 star out of 5

We have had 6 awful phone calls to this service, each time they have refused us an appointment. First time was for a urine infection, they refused to see us as its "common in women and will go away on its own", ended up in a and e a fee days later as it had escalated to the point where there was blood in urine. Only a few weeks ago we called up for my partner stating that we need a letter of permanent gender change to give to the passport office in order to get a passport in his new name and gender. They refused saying its not their job even though the passport office said to go to the GP for it. We are now unable to go to my parents wedding because we can't get a passport for my partner. In addition to this, we called up today about an infected cat bite that we went to the pharmacy about and they said to call the GP and ask for antibiotics. We were on hold for 20 minutes and the lady that answered the phone was very disrespectful. She sounded annoyed at us for calling. Told us its not infected because we know the cat even though 80% of cat bites get infected and 1/3 of cat bites to the hand end in hospitalisation for intravenous antibiotics. She then said that she'll put us on the duty list and the doctor will call, we asked if it would be today. She scoffed and said "uh yeah it's the duty list?" Like were supposed to know that. This is a highly unprofessional and rude conversation and completely unacceptable. I do not believe she should be making medical judgement about patients with apparently no medical knowledge at all. She dismissed a pharmacy opinion and our own and was statistically incorrect. Especially as she hadn't seen the bite and we had to argue our way into getting her to believe that is infected which we shouldn't have to do. We will be changing GP immediately

We had a very poorly child and I am so thankful for the swift response from the reception staff and the healthcare team. As a result we were swiftly referred to the hospital and able to get the treatment that was much needed. We are very grateful, thank you.

  3. Review titled Bad customer service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was calling on Friday morning but was having no luck getting through the phone was just ringing out as I was in the area I decided to pop in the surgery. To my amazement there were 3 staff in the front reception area, otheir mobile phones while 1 staff was talking to a patient the other 2 staff were on theirmobile phones, I was not just shocked but utterly disgusted that they were so ingrossed into the phone that they didn't even notice me . So no wonder they were not answering the phone . I get the surgery's phone lines are often busy but this was just disgusting, I wonder how many other people were waiting on the phone for their call to be answered??. What sort of management is working at this place to allow for this to happen?? I have proof of this claim and will share if I have to , but you have cctv so please check on what your staff are doing, playing on your mobile phone while you have patients waiting is diabolical. People don't call the surgery unless needed we don't do it for the fun of it . We work too and can not hold half an hour on the phone all the time just because the staff are too bust on their mobile phones I am disgusted at what I saw and very disappointed with the surgery's services

  4. Review titled Always a bad experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

Like anywhere these days, getting a appointment at the GP isn’t easy, esp when the receptionists are rude on the phone and say if your more than 10 mins late you forfeit your appointment, that’s understandable, even though the waiting room is always empty, they say they are very busy. Usually at this practice I wait 20-30 mins to be seen by the doctor, so waiting an hour and half was definitely out of the ordinary. Then after they are getting ready to close up and notice me at 18:25 waiting on my 16:50 appointment, the receptionist decides it must be my fault and shouts across the room why didn’t I check in. I told her do not put this blame on me, I checked in with your colleague. The colleague then came over and apologise and passed the blame onto the doctors that they had forgotten to call me. After recently having surgery down below, sitting upright for so long had caused stitches to become undone and I left the surgery in more pain than I arrived. This surgery used to be very good but recently this hasn’t been the case.

  5. Review titled Absolutely Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice used to be good but the last few years it has gone so downhill it’s unreal. Recently had surgery and was told I need my dressing changed by a medical professional (doctor/nurse) at least every other day as I’m vulnerable and high risk. After being on hold for 45 mins, a receptionist with an unbothered tone tells me they can see me in 6 days as they are too busy. so I have to attempt to do it myself even though it’s in a position I can’t reach or see and don’t know if I’m doing it right
