  1. Review titled Uncomfortable experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am sad to be writing this. I had my smear test here at Farndon Surgery and I will not be seeing this same clinician again. As a professional who works in the NHS I was surprised with the approach to say the least. Very blunt, patronising manner and did not make me feel comfortable - at all. I found the whole experience so hard to process and feel this nurse needs to reflect on the way she is currently practicing or leave her profession

  2. Review titled A few bumps on the way

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Having being unable to arrange a face to face appointment on the telephone, after a visit to the surgery to express my concern I received a call for a cancelled telephone appointment which was quite quickly followed by an arrangement for a face to face appointment. The doctors were very considerate and helpful towards my ailment and further appointments will be made. It took longer than it would have done, historically, but the end result should be favourable, I hope. Thank you to all concerned.

  3. Review titled Poor practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

My elderly mother received a NHS letter to get a seasonal booster vaccination for Autumn 2022. Having rung NHS number on letter I was told to ring our surgery because they do not do housebound patients. I rang Farndon Village Surgery, only to be told "we do not do booster vaccinations for anyone, ring 119". After explaining to receptionist I had rang 119, and was told to ring you, the surgery said "we are not doing them". So how is my 98 year old mother going to get her booster vaccination? We have carers coming into our house, every other day. Farndon surgery do not care about their patients, especially elderly patients which they have a duty of care for. My experience with Farndon surgery since becoming Village Surgeries Group has been extremely poor, there is no care and attention to the elderly at this practice, especially if you are housebound. Doctors do not visit my elderly mother who is housebound for medication reviews, wrong repeat medication have been given to us numerous times and they have lost our prescriptions. The surgery closes nearly every Friday at 1 pm, with no explanation why, yet Tattenhall surgery is open 7 miles away. Surgery always replies, "we only have 1 doctor on, and she/he hasn't done .... etc yet". Poor communication, poor listening skills, incompetence and lax approach to patients.
